Operation
First use
Before using your mixer for the rst time
you should ensure that the components are
thoroughly cleaned.
Follow the instructions in the cleaning
section to clean all components thoroughly
before rst use.
Fitting the beaters or dough hooks
The mixer is supplied with two sets of
attachments -
Beaters for making cakes and mixing batters.
Dough hooks for heavier mixes such as pastry and
kneading dough, also mashed potato.
Select the mixing attachments you want to
use.
Always use the mixing attachments as
matched pairs.
Locate the attachment sockets under the
mixer.
Warranty
Your TESCO appliance is warranted for 12
months from the date of purchase. If a
fault develops during this period, please
return the unit to your nearest Tesco store
together with the original receipt as proof
of purchase. This warranty in no way
aects your consumer rights.
Disposal
UK: Waste electrical products
should not be disposed of with
household waste. Separate
disposal facilities exist, for your
nearest facilities. See www.recycle-
more.co.uk or in-store for details.

Mixing
Collect all your ingredients together before
starting. Choose a mixing bowl that has
plenty of room for the mixture.
Add the rst ingredients to the mixing bowl.
Set the Power/Speed control to ‘0’ (o).
Plug the power cable into a mains outlet.
Holding the mixer by the handle, place the
beaters or dough hooks into the mixture
and gradually increase the mixing speed in
the range 1 to 5 until you reach the speed
you want.
Move the beaters around a little in the
mixture to help it circulate.
Keep the beaters immersed in the mixture at all
times to avoid splashing the mixture from the
spinning beaters.
If you need to add ingredients or re-
distribute the mixture in the bowl, switch o
the mixer rst.
NOTE: The maximum operating time when
using the mixer is 5 minutes. If you exceed this
time you must rest the unit for 30 minutes or
allow it to cool to room temperature before
further use.
WARNING: Permanent damage may result if the
mixer is allowed to overheat.
Turbo button
The Turbo button enables you to boost mixing
power if you need more power briey.
Press and hold the Turbo button.
The mixing power will increase while the button
is pressed.
NOTE: The Turbo button should only be pressed for
a few seconds at a time, maximum of 1 minute.
Running the mixer with the Turbo button pressed
continually may damage the mixer.
When your mixture is ready
Switch o the mixer.
Disconnect the power cord.
After use
When you have nished using the mixer,
disconnect the power cable and remove the
attachments.
Storage
When all the components are dry, coil the
power cable loosely.
For storage, the attachments can be placed
in the bowl for storage on the stand.
Ensure that the mixer and attachments are
stored out of the reach of children and pets.
Troubleshooting
The eject button won’t press.
Check that the power/speed control is set to
‘0’ (o). The eject button will only press when
set to ‘0’.
No operation.
The mixer may have overheated if you have
run the motor for too long. This will cause
permanent damage to the motor.

Cleaning
Never clean any of the mixer components with
scourers, abrasive pads or chemicals.
Unplug the motor unit before cleaning.
Remove the attached dough hooks or beaters.
If the motor is warm, allow it to cool fully.
Motor unit
Wipe the motor unit all over with a soft cloth
dampened with soapy water followed with a
clean damp cloth. Ensure any food splashes are
fully removed.
Do not immerse the motor unit, mains cable or
plug in water.
If food particles have adhered to the beater
sockets or the ventilation slots in the motor
unit, brush them out with a barely damp (not
wet) brush.
Wipe any excess food particles from the power
cord.
Beaters and dough hooks
The beaters and dough hooks are dishwasher
safe or may be hand-washed in warm soapy
water then wiped dry. Make sure that the
beater shafts are clean and free from any
adhered particles.
Unpacking
Unpack the mixer motor body and accessories
from the carton.
Retain the carton and packing for future use. If
you have to dispose of the carton and packing,
please do so responsibly.
The carton should contain -
1 x Mixer motor unit
2 x Beaters
2 x Dough hooks
1 x Owners handbook.

When using the dough
hooks, identify the hook
with metal disc. This must
always be tted to the left
side socket when viewed
from the front as shown.
Push the attachments into the sockets,
twisting them slightly while pushing until
they click home.
The attachments will be locked in place.
Removing attachments
Check that the mixer is disconnected from
mains power and the power/speed control
is set to ‘0’.
Whilst holding the attachments, press the
eject button.
Catch the attachments as they drop away
from the motor body.
Set the attachments aside for cleaning.
Immediately after use, follow the instructions
in the Care and Cleaning section to clean the
components you used.
Preparation
Work area
Before using your mixer, prepare a clear,
uncluttered work area with adequate room
for the mixer and ingredients, near to a mains
power outlet where the cable will not be at risk
of being pulled.
