RADIO PRESETS
There are 20 preset stations for each band you can use to store
your favourite stations for quick selection.
Automatic preset storage
The radio can scan the band and store all stations found as
presets (up to the maximum of 20 stations per band).
• Select FM or AM radio.
• Extend the aerial if you selected FM radio.
• Press and hold the /, button
The radio will scan the band automatically and store all
stations found as presets.
When the scan is complete the radio will return to play
preset 1.
Manual preset storage
• Tune to the station you want to store.
• Press the PROG button.
The display will show ‘P’ with a ashing preset number.
• Press } or { to nd the preset number you want to
store.
• Press PROG again to store the station as this preset
number.
The preset station will be stored.
Playing a preset station
To play a preset station you already stored.
• Press the } or { button until the preset number you
want is displayed.
After a short delay the stored preset station will tune
automatically.
LISTENING TO FM RADIO
• Extend the aerial fully.
• Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly until rAd1 is
displayed.
After a few seconds the display will change to show the
tuned frequency in MHz.
Scanning for a station
• Press and hold the TUNING + or TUNING - button.
The radio will scan up or down the band and will stop
scanning when a station is found.
• Press and hold the button again to continue scanning and
skip to the next station.
Manual and ne tuning
• Press the TUNING + or TUNING - button briey to tune up
or down the band in 50kHz steps.
Setting the radio to mono
When listening to a weak or distant FM station in stereo, there
may be a high level of background noise. In this case, setting
mono reception may reduce the level of background noise.
• Press the REPEAT button repeatedly to switch between
mono and stereo reception.
The stereo indicator (ST) will be displayed when the radio
is receiving stereo.
Adjusting the aerial for best reception
The telescopic aerial is on a swivel base.
• Move the aerial position to nd the best reception for the
station you are listening to.
The display shows CD track and play mode status.
LISTENING TO AM RADIO
• There is no need to extend the telescopic aerial for AM
radio reception.
• Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly until rAd2 is
displayed.
After a few seconds the display will change to show the
tuned frequency in kHz.

• Press and hold the TUNING + or TUNING - button.
The radio will scan up or down the band and will stop
scanning when a station is found.
• Press and hold the button again to continue scanning and
skip to the next station.
Manual and ne tuning
• Press the TUNING + or TUNING - button briey to tune up
or down the band in 9kHz steps.
Adjusting the aerial for best reception
The aerial for AM radio is inside the case and is directional.
