Short Manual T-Fax 361
Sending documents (For details refer to pages 57-59.)
1. Feed the document face-down into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
2. If necessary, set the resolution and density. (See page 51 for details.)
3. Dial the other party’s fax number. Do this by one of these methods:
• Use the numeric buttons to dial the number.
• Press the one-touch speed dialling button assigned to the number you wish to dial.
• Press [Kurzwahl] and enter the two-digit code assigned to the number you wish to
dial.
4. Press [Start/Kopie].
Note: If you have an extension phone connected and you wish to talk to the other party
before sending the document, press [Lautsprecher] before dialling the other party’s
number. When the other party answers, pick up the receiver and converse normally.
When you are ready to send your document, ask the other party to set their fax
machine to receive (usually by pressing the start button). Then press [Start/Kopie]
on your T-Fax 361 and hang up.

Receiving faxes manually (MANUELL MODUS)
1. Make sure you have connected an extension phone. (See page 20 for details.)
2. Press [Empfangsmodus] until “MANUELL MODUS” appears on the LCD.
3. Press [Start/Kopie].
4. When the T-Fax 361 rings, pick up the receiver.
5. If you hear a person’s voice, start your conversation. If the caller wants to send a
document after talking to you, press [Start/Kopie]* on the T-Fax 361 and hang up.
or
If you hear a slow beep or silence, press [Start/Kopie]* on the T-Fax 361 and hang up to
receive the fax.
*You can also start receiving the document by pressing “25” on the extension phone and hanging up.
Receiving faxes automatically (AUTOM EM MODUS)
1. Press [Empfangsmodus] until “AUTOM EM MODUS” appears on the LCD.
2. Press [Start/Kopie].
Once set, the T-Fax 361 assumes all incoming calls are from fax machines sending
documents. It receives the documents automatically and disconnects all voice calls.
Receiving faxes and phone calls automatically (FAX/TEL MODUS)
1. Make sure you have connected an extension phone. (See page 20 for details.)
2. Press [Empfangsmodus] until “FAX/TEL MODUS” appears on the LCD.
3. Press [Start/Kopie].
Once set, the T-Fax 361 receives faxes automatically, and rings if it is a voice call.
Receiving faxes and phone calls with an answering machine (ANRB MODUS)
1. Make sure you have connected an answering machine. (See page 20 for details.)
2. Press [Empfangsmodus] until “ANRB MODUS” appears on the LCD.
3. Press [Start/Kopie].
Once set, the T-Fax 361 receives faxes automatically, and directs all voice calls to the
answering machine.
