UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)

This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp

plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour

coded:

blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.

The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.

The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (&

yellow).

USE

 Before plugging in your appliance check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate is

the same as your mains voltage.

 Place your appliance on a flat surface close to an electric socket.

 Make sure the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position (0). Then plug in.

 During the first use leave your appliance switched on for approximately 10 minutes. During

this time a light smell of plastic will develop. This is normal and will disappear with the time.

If no problem occurs during this time (check the state of the cooking plate), this means

that your appliance is ready for use.

 Always use flat-bottomed saucepans, which make good contact with the cooking plate.

 To use your appliance, place the ON/OFF switch on "I". The red pilot light comes on and

indicates that the appliance is switched on.

 After use, place the ON/OFF switch on "0" and unplug the appliance from electrical outlet.

CLEANING

 Before cleaning, unplug and wait till the appliance has cooled down.

 Wipe the plastic parts with kitchen paper or with a damp cloth.

 Clean the cooking surface with a sponge or with a damp pad. You can add soapy water

but always rinse with clear water.

 Do not clean your appliance with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool.

 Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
