Afkorting die op de duikcomputer wordt gebruikt voor oppervlakte-interval.
Trimix
Een gasmengsel van helium, zuurstof en stikstof.
UHMS
Afkorting voor Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society.
Weefselgroep
Theoretisch concept voor het modelleren van lichaamsweefsels om
decompressietabellen of -berekeningen te maken.
Zuurstoflimietpercentage
Suunto-term voor de grafisch weergegeven zuurstoftoxiciteitwaarden. De
waarde wordt aangegeven door CNS% of OTU%.
Zuurstoftolerantie-eenheid
Hiermee wordt de toxiciteit voor het zenuwstelsel gemeten.
Zuurstofvergiftiging van centrale
zenuwstelsel
Een andere vorm van zuurstofvergiftiging die wordt veroorzaakt door
langdurige blootstelling aan een hoge partiële zuurstofdruk. De meest
voorkomende symptomen zijn irritaties in de longen, een branderig gevoel
in de buik, hoesten en verminderde vitaliteit. Wordt ook pulmonaire
zuurstofvergiftiging genoemd. Zie ook OTU.
