1. Throw the two dice.
2. For each colour, take a dress card and put it before you. Each kid is
dressed up in the same order: head - body - legs. In the rst turn, you
therefore take at least one head.
3. If you want, you can dress up several kids at the same time.
4. After adding the third card (the legs) you choose two accessories from
the case to make a really funny outt. This kid is ready for the parade!
5. You may give dress cards to another player. Sometimes a card does not
t your own cards. Sometimes another player would really like to have
this specic card. Talk with each other about who can make the best use
of the card!
6. If one of the dice cannot be used, take just one dress card.
7. If both dice cannot be used, take no dress card at all. Instead, a guest is
arriving! Turn over one of the six guests.
Game end
As soon as all kids are completely dressed, turn over all remaining
guests. The parade begins and everyone is invited! In turn, slide one of
the kids to the middle and describe what he or she does, for example:
“This is a soccer player who almost slips on a banana peel because he is
wearing a fancy dress and is trying to lift a heavy weight at the same
time”
.
If the last guest arrives before all the kids are dressed up, the parade is
cancelled. Better luck next time!
Challenging variation (about 5 years and up)
Play with 3 instead of 6 guest cards.
When you throw double, you can change one of the two colours into a
colour of your choice.
Some ideas for extra fun
Replace the guest cards by real cuddly toys.
When the game is nished, make sensible outts by trading dress cards
and accessories with each other.
Finally, pass round the dress case. Each player takes out an accessory
until the case is empty.
