Temporada de corte
Para cortar los setos, tener en cuenta
las normas específicas del país o del
municipio.
N No cortar durante las horas de
descanso habituales.
Secuencia de corte
N Quitar las ramas gruesas de
antemano con unas tijeras de podar
o una motosierra.
N Cortar primero ambos lados del
seto y, luego, la parte superior.
Recomendación: cortar sólo setos que
alcancen hasta la altura del pecho,
como máximo.
Eliminación de residuos
N No echar las ramas cortadas a la
basura doméstica – todo lo cortado
se puede compostar.
Técnica de trabajo
Corte vertical
Guiar el cortasetos hacia arriba y abajo
en forma de arco – bajar y seguir hacia
delante – y volver a guiar las cuchillas
hacia arriba en forma de arco.
Las posiciones de trabajo más arriba de
la cabeza son pesadas y no se deberían
prolongar por mucho tiempo, por
razones de seguridad en el trabajo.
Corte horizontal
Aplicar las cuchillas en un ángulo de 0°
hasta 10° – pero moviéndolas
horizontalmente; al hacerlo, emplear las
cuchillas por ambos lados.
Mover el cortasetos en forma de hoz
hacia el borde del seto, a fin de que se
caigan al suelo las ramas cortadas.
Al tratarse de setos anchos, proceder
cortarlos en varias manos.
