Check the glue gun for
damage before switching
it on (mains connection
lead, housing, etc.) and
do not use if damaged.
Repairs must only be
performed by a qualified
electrician.
A problem-free function-
ing is only guaranteed if
STEINEL and/or Henkel
glue sticks are used.
Do not use liquid or paste
glues!
Since the glue gun ope -
rates up to 200° C/392° F,
exercise caution when
using.
Only use the glue gun in
dry rooms.
Do not use in conjunction
with highly flammable/
combustible substances.
Do not leave the glue gun
unattended.
Keep it out of the reach
of children.
The parts to be glued
must be free of grease,
dry and absolutely clean.
When glueing process is
interrupted for more than
thirty minutes, turn off
glue gun by pulling out
electrical plug.
Protruding glue can easily
be removed with a warm
knife. Always discon -
nect the mains plug first.
When using our “super-
sticks”, residual glue can
be removed with heat or
painted over.
Small drops of glue can
be easily removed when
cold.
When introducing new
glue sticks please wait a
moment so that the cold
cartridge can be warmed
up. Under no circum-
stances push in with
force.
Pressing too hard may
jam the glue stick feeder
inside the applicator...
If this happens, heat
the applicator for about
10 min. and pull 3 – 5 mm
of the glue stick out of
the nozzle... if the glue
stick is too far in, heat a
new stick at the tip of the
applicator, fuse it with
end of the jammed glue
stick and carefully pull
forward.
Do not pull the glue
stick all the way out
of the applicator. Hot glue
running into the applica-
tor can cause damage.
After changing nozzle,
always make sure it is
screwed on tightly
(approx. 1 Nm).
