The battery compartment is located on back of level.
1. Push in on tab and lift cover.
2. Insert (2) AAA batteries as shown.
3. Replace cover & snap in place.

Power:
Press Power button

for ~1 sec. to turn on display.
When powering on, the inclination will be displayed in the
last units selected.
The slope direction is shown by the slope icon

The display will automatically power off after 5 minutes of
non-use.
The display will automatically flip over if the level is used
inverted.
The battery life icon

displays the power remaining in the
batteries. When Battery life icon is as shown, , there is
~ 1 hour of battery life remaining.
Units:
Press the units button

for ~1 sec. to cycle the display units
between degrees (°), slope (mm/m) or gradient (%).
Hold:
Press the Hold button

to freeze the current angle shown on
the display. Press

again to unfreeze the displayed angle.
Buzzer/Backlight:
Press the Buzzer/Backlight button

for ~1 sec. to activate the
internal buzzer. The buzzer will be heard when the display is at
0, 45 or 90°. Press the button again to ~1 sec. to power off the
buzzer.
Press the Buzzer/Backlight button

for >2 sec. to activate to
display backlight. The backlight will automatically power off after
5 minutes or the button can be pressed again for >2 sec.
Reference Angle:
Press the Reference button

for >2 sec. to reset to current
inclination to 0°. Press the Reference button again to return to
normal angle mode.
Temperature:
Press the Calibrate button

for ~1 sec. to display the current
temperature in °C. Press again for ~1 sec. to display in °F. Press
again to return to normal angle mode.
Re-calibrating the zero set angle of the display:
If the unit is dropped or you suspect inaccuracy of the product,
you can re-calibrate the zero point.
1. Place the level on a flat, level surface as shown below.
2. Press the calibration button

for >4 sec. “CAL 1” will
appear on the display.
3. Press the calibration button

for ~1 sec. “CAL 1” will blink
for ~1 sec. then change to “CAL 2”.
4. Flip the level over so the bottom is now on top, as shown
below.
5. Press the calibration button for ~1 sec. “CAL 2” will blink for
~1 sec. then change to the active angle display.
The 0° reference for the display has been re-calibrated to the
level surface.
