Check if the power voltage, as shown on the type plate located on the rear of the set, corre-
sponds to your local AC power supply. If it does not, consult your dealer or service centre.
Connect the power cord to the AC MAINS inlet Wall outlet. Slide the main power switch to ON.
The power supply is now connected And ready for use.
To switch off completely, slide the main power switch to Off and unplug the power cord.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet to protect your set during heavy thunderstorms.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Switching on/off: Save energy
Whether you are using mains or battery supply, to avoid unnecessary energy consumption
always slide the main power switch to Off.
GENERAL OPERATION
To select your sound source adjust the source selector to USB.CD/ TAPE(AUX)/FM/AM
Adjust the sound with the VOLUME controls.
To switch off the set, slide the main power switch to Off position.
RADIO RECEPTION
Slide the FUNCTION selector to FM/AM.
Rotate the TUNING control to find the desired stations.
When you have finished listening, slide the main power switch to Off position.
For FM, pull out the pig tail
For AM the set is provided with a built-in antenna so the telescopic antenna is not needed.
Direct the antenna by turning the whole set (For a best reception).
PLAYING A CASSETTE
Select TAPE source.
Press STOP/EJECT to open the cassette door.
Insert a recorded cassette and close the cassette door.
Press PLAY to start playback.
To interrupt playback, press PAUSE. To resume, press the key again.
By pressing or on the set, fast winding of the tape is possible in both directions.
To stop the tape, press STOP/EJECT.
The keys are automatically released at the end of the tape, except if PAUSE has been activated.
RECORDING
GENERAL INFORMATION ON RECORDING
This deck is not suitable for recording on CHROME (IEC II) or MET
AL (IEC IV) type cassettes.
For recording, use NORMAL (IEC I) type cassettes on which the tabs have not been
broken. The best recording level is set automatically. Altering the VOLUME will not affect the
recording in progress.
