Radio wave exposure
and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
information
Addendum to Users Guide
This mobile phone model T290a
has been designed to comply
with applicable safety requiremen
ts for exposure
to radio waves.
These requirements are based on scie
ntific guidelines that include
safety margins designed to assu
re the safety of all persons,
regardless of age and health.
The radio wave exposure guideli
nes employ a unit of measurement
known as the Specific Absorption Ra
te, or SAR. Tests for SAR are
conducted using standardized me
thods with the phone transmitting
at its highest certified power le
vel in all used frequency bands.
While there may be differences between the SAR levels of various
phone models, they are all designed to meet the relevant guidelines
for exposure to radio waves.
For more information on SAR, please refer to the safety chapter
in the Users Guide.
SAR data information for residents
in countries that have adopted
the SAR limit recommended by the International Commission on
Non-Ionizing Radiation Protectio
n (ICNIRP), which is 2 W/kg
averaged over ten (10)
grams of tissue (fo
r example, European
Untion, Japan, Brazil
and New Zealand):
The highest SAR value for this
model phone when
tested by
Sony Ericsson for use at th
e ear is 0.75 W/kg (10g).
SAR data information for residents
in countries/regi
ons that have
adopted the SAR limit recommended by
the Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), which is 1.6 W/kg averages
over one (1) gram of
tissue (for example
USA, Canada, Australia
and Taiwan):
The highest SAR value for this
model phone when
tested by
Sony Ericsson for use at th
e ear is 1.18 W/kg (1g).

absorption spécifique (DAS)
et l’exposition aux ondes radio
Addenda au guide de l’utilisateur
Ce téléphone mobile,
modèle T290a, a été
conçu conformément
aux exigences de sécurité applic
ables quant à l’exposition aux
ondes radio.
l’International Commissi
on on Non-Ionizing
Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), so
it 2 watts/kg en
moyenne pour
dix (10) grammes de tissus (par
exemple l’Union européenne, le
Japan, le Brésil et
la Nouvelle-Zélande):
la valeur SAR la plus
élevée pour ce modèle de téléphone lorsque
testé à l’oreille par Sony Ericsson
est de 0.75 watts/kg (10 grammes).
Valeur SAR pour les résidents de
s pays/régions ay
ant adopté la
limite SAR recommandée par l’Instit
ute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineers (IEEE), soit de 1,6 watts/kg en moyenne pour

Canada,
l’Australie et Taiwan):
