Assembly and use
1. Fit the container lid (5) and the pulp collector (11).
2. Slide the filter (4) into its holder and check that the filter has fitted correctly into place.
3. Flip the container lid down and lock into place by clicking the top section of the clamp (Fig. 1)
into place. Then click the lower part of the clamp into place (Fig. 2).
The juicer will not work if the lid has not locked properly.
Never operate the juicer without the pulp collector.
4. Place the collecting jug 10 under the juice outlet and take off the lid with foam separator.
5. Select the desired speed by turning the rotating switch 9 (1 for very soft fruits until 5 for very hard
fruits). Do not press too heavily with the pusher when you process large pieces of food – this would
have a negative effect on the quality of the juice, and might even block the juicer. Remove any pieces
that are too big and cut them up so that they will fit into the feed chute. After feeding the pieces of
food into the machine, press gently with the pusher against the rotating filter.
6. Put the juice container lid in place in order to prevent any splashing. The foam separator makes sure
that the juice is free of froth when you pour it out.
7. When you process hard types of fruit and vegetables, please do not exceed the maximum limits of
1.5kg in weight and/or an operating time of 2 minutes. Very hard pieces of fruit and vegetables slow
the juicer down or even stop it altogether. If this happens, switch the machine off and clean the filter.
8. Switch the machine off and clean the pulp collector regularly when the machine is in operation.
9. The juicer does not need oiling.
Dismantling the juicer
Take the components of the juicer apart in reverse order.
TIPS
1. Feed soft types of food in slowly to achieve a larger juice yield.
2. Vitamins decay with time – the sooner you drink the freshly-squeezed juice the more vitamins
it will contain.
3. If you want to keep the juice for a number of hours, please store in the refrigerator.
Add a few squirts of lemon juice to keep it fresh for longer.
4. Do not drink more than three glasses (230 ml) of juice in a day if you are not used to it.
5. For children, dilute the juice with an equal volume of water.
6. Juice made from vegetables that are dark green (broccoli, spinach, etc.) or dark red (beetroot,
red cabbage, etc.) will be particularly strong. People with diabetes or excessively low blood sugar
should not drink too much of these juices.
Noise level
The noise level of this machine is less than 80 dB(A).
CLEANING THE MACHINE
1. Unplug the machine before cleaning it.
2. If the filter is too tight to move, wait a few minutes for it to loosen up.
3. Some types of vegetable (such as carrots) discolour the plastic. Use a cloth dipped in vegetable oil
to rub the discolouration off.
Motor
Clean the casing around the motor with a damp cloth, then dry well.
Filter
1. Clean the filter with the brush supplied.
2. Check the filter regularly for damage. Do not use the machine if there is any damage to the filter.
Other components
Wash in warm water with a little detergent, then dry well. Do not wash in a dishwasher
or under running water.
Point the juice outlet downwards and wash thoroughly. The juice outlet cannot be removed.
