5. De rook- en hittemelder is geleverd met een vergrendel deksel, dat ervoor zorgt
dat de deksel niet gesloten kan worden als de batterijen nog niet zijn geplaatst.
LOCATIES
Plaats de rook- en hittemelder NIET in:
1. De keuken: rook door het koken kan leiden tot een ongewild alarm.
2. Vlakbij een ventilator, TI-lamp of airconditioning apparatuur. Wind kan de
gevoeligheid van de detector beïnvloeden.
3. In de buurt van plafondbalken of boven cabines, stagnerende lucht zal de
gevoeligheid van de detector beïnvloeden.
4. In het hoogste punt van een ‘A’ vormig plafond.
TESTEN
Test de detector wekelijks door op de “TEST” knop te drukken, totdat de zoemer geluid
geeft.
Waarschuwing: Gebruik nooit open vuur om de detector te testen. U brengt wellicht
schade aan de detector, maar ook aan uw huis.
Waarschuwing: Wanneer u aan het testen bent zal de basiscentrale en de zoemer in de
detector een hard herhalend geluid geven, dit betekent dat de detector rook- of
verbrandingsdeeltjes herkent heeft.
Het alarm kan worden veroorzaakt door een overlaste situatie. Rook van het koken of een
stoffige oven, soms weleens “vriendelijk vuur” genoemd, kan ertoe leiden dat het alarm
afgaat. Als dit gebeurt, open dan een raam of ventileer de lucht om rook en stof te
verwijderen. Het alarm zal stoppen wanneer de lucht compleet schoon is.
