PLAATS VAN MONTAGE
Om vals alarm het best te kunnen voorkomen moet de akoestische glasbreukmelder geplaatst worden op
ten minste 1.2 meter vanaf het raam. Ook moet de glasbreukmelder voldoende verwijderd zijn van
apparaten die geluid produceren of teweeg brengen (zoals televisies, speakers, wastafels of deuren). De
sensor moet altijd zo worden geplaatst dat er een zichtbare lijn is tussen het apparaat en het raam.
Wanneer er zich objecten, muren of hoeken tussen de sensor en het raam bevinden, kan het zijn dat de
glasbreukmelder niet (altijd) correct werkt. De verticale of horizontale plaatsing van het apparaat is niet
van belang.
Montage op muur
Omdat het geluid van gebroken glas direct beweegt vanuit het gebroken raam, is de beste plek om de
glasbreukmelder te plaatsen de overliggende muur. Ervan uitgaande dat het apparaat geplaatst is binnen
het bereik van het raam, zonder objecten en/of muren tussen beide.
Montage op plafond
Het plafond en muren die niet tegenoverliggend zijn aan het raam zijn ook goede locaties om de
glasbreukmelder te plaatsen. Als het apparaat geplaatst wordt op het plafond heeft deze de beste
detectie wanneer de glasbreukmelder geplaatst wordt op een afstand van 2 tot 3 meter tot het raam.
Wanneer het apparaat is geplaatst op dezelfde muur als het raam, is het voor de sensor lastiger om
gebroken glas te detecteren. Dit komt omdat de detectie nu deels afhankelijk is van de weerkaatsing van
het geluid vanaf andere muren.
GEREEDMAKEN VAN DE GLASBREUKMELDER
1. Gebruik een schroevendraaier om de deksel los te maken van de unit.
2. Plaats de bijgeleverde batterijen zoals afgebeeld hieronder.
