Please note that the times given are guidelines only. They can vary based on the nature of the food to be
defrosted.
9.6.2 Defrosting by weight
If you would rather enter the weight of the frozen food than a time, select this function. The power and
defrost time are calculated automatically based on the weight you enter.
• Press the Defrost button (11). The , symbols appear on the display (1) with the first
defrost programme “DEF1”.
• Use the rotary knob (9) to select the second defrost programme “DEF2”. Confirm by pressing the
Start/Quick Start button (9).
• The minimum weight “100g” appears in the display (1).
• Use the rotary knob (9) to select the correct weight for the food to be defrosted between 100g and
1800g.
• Confirm the weight you have entered by pressing the Start/Quick Start button (9). The defrost
process begins. On the display (1), the remaining defrost time calculated by the microwave counts
down and the and symbols flash.
If required, you can turn the food as soon as the unit beeps twice and “turn” is shown on the display (1).
• Open the door. The remaining defrost time is indicated on the display (1).
• Turn the food.
• Close the door and press the Start/Quick Start button button (9) to continue the programme. The
remaining time continues to count down on the display (1).
