Heating and Saving Tips
Maintain your room temperature at 20˚C to 21˚C (4), never above, because every additional
degree increases your heating costs by 6 to 7 percent. However, if you feel comfortable at 18˚C
then set the temperature to 18˚C – and you reduce your heating costs by 6 to 7 percent.
When you sleep, you lie in your warm bed. So why should you maintain normal room
temperature? Reduce the temperature at night (5) to perhaps 12˚C or 15˚C.
If you leave the house for more than two hours (when you go shopping, for example), set your
heating system to reduced operation (10).
If you are absent for several days (e.g. holidays, weekends), you should set your heating system
to frost protection operation (9d).
Check if your heating system does not switch too early to normal temperature and too late to
reduced temperature. If necessary, change the switching times (6a) (6b) (7a) (7b).
Renewing the room air by having the windows slightly open is expensive, so don’t do it. Renew
the room air by opening the windows fully, but only for short periods of time.
If you don’t have the thermostatic radiator valves in your house, it’s time to fit them, because
they reduce the consumption of heat. Contact your heating installer and ask for RADIAGYR.
During the warm season, when heating is not required, you should switch off your heating
installation on the room unit (17).
Did you know
- That with CHRONOGYR you can heat less at night, i.e., the room temperature can be
reduced. (5)
- That you can also heat less during the day, if you are a working couple. (5) (7).
- That CHRONOGYR operates your heating system fully automatically according to a pre
selected program (6) (7) (8).
- That you can switch the automatic heating program off without erasing it (9).
- That with CHRONOGYR you can operate and also switch off your heating system from your
living room.
- That CHRONOGYR switches your heating system automatically off when it is warm enough
outside and on again, when this becomes necessary.
