Step 7: Synchronization
Package contents Operation and storage
LL and INT mode are available for this camera. The
factory default is INT. User can change the setting to
Line lock mode in combination with an AC power
source by changing #3 pin of DIP SW (11) to LL.
Due to the physical nature of the CCD there is a
possibilty of picture noise when using the camera in
LL-mode under low-light conditions. Usage of
INT-mode is recommended.
CCD camera Do not operate or store the unit in following
locations: C/CS-mount adapter
Instruction manual Extremely hot or cold places

Important
Close to sources of powerful electromagnetic
radiation such as radios or TV transmitters.
This quick start guide is only intended for use by
installers who have an adequate working knowledge
of video systems!
In humid or excessively dusty places
Where exposed to mechanical vibrations.
Step 8: SHARP/SOFT selection
Close to fluorescent lamps or objects reflecting
light.
Use DIP SW (11) pin 4 to select::
This guide outlines the most important information
about the camera. It is vital that you read this
manual carefully before any operation of camera.

Step 9: Connecting power supply
Care and maintenance
Connect the power supply cable to the power
connectors (7) (see figure E):
Camera parts
The camera is maintenance-free.
See figure B, C, D and E
Use a clean soft piece of cloth to wipe small
amounts of dirt or dust from the camera body. If the
unit tends to get very dirty, the camera should be
placed within a protective housing.
Caution
1. Back focus adjust ring
If you are using a DC supply, make sure the
polarity is correct. Incorrect connection may
cause malfunction and/or damage to the
camera.
2. Back focus lock screw
3. Tripod mount hole

11. Mode setting switch
For 24 V AC:
Synchronisation: Internal or Line-Lock
12.
Connect 24 V (~) cables to terminals
~AC 24V (13 and 14).
Video Output: composite
Power requirement: DC 12V/AC 24V ±10% or
~AC90 – 260 V, 50 Hz
Installing the camera
Connect shielding to terminal GND (12).
Step 1: Mounting the camera
Power consumption: 3 VA
Adjusting camera settings
Camera weight: -LP: 450 g
1. Attach the camera to a wall bracket, ceiling
bracket, pan/tilt mount or other suitable fitting.
Use of the ¼ inch thread tripod mount hole (3) to
prevent the camera from rotating.

Setting flange focal distance
Operating temperature: -10 ~ +50
Caution
Risk of damage to camera! Ensure that the locking
screw is loosened before turning the adjustment
screw. Avoid forcing the adjustment screw.
2. Mount the cable guide to the camera to ensure
that the cables are kept securely in place (see
figure A).
Fixed focus lenses
Step 2: Screw the lens onto the camera
1. Loosen the locking screw (2) by turning it
counter-clockwise.
Select one of the following options:
For C-mount lens: add a CS-C adapter to the
camera, then screw the lens directly onto the
camera.
2. Open the diaphragm to its fullest extent
manually. If the images are overexposed, or for
lenses with automatic diaphragm adjustment:
reduce lighting levels or hold a neutral grey filter
in front of the lens.
For CS-mount lens: Screw the lens directly
onto the camera (no adapter ring required).
Step 3: Connecting the lens
3. Set the focus to .
Two type of lens (DC or Video controlled) can be
used for this camera. However, please take note to
select DC or VIDEO lens using switch (10) before
connecting the lens and make sure the wire
connection for each type lens is conform to the pin
assignment below.
4. Point the camera at an object (at a distance of at
least 2000 times the focal length of the lens).
5. Adjust the backfocus ring (1), alter the flange
focal distance until the image is clearly in focus.
6. Re-tighten the locking screw (2).
Varifocal lenses
Then connect the control cable to the IRIS
connector (4, side or rear) on the camera.
Video Lens DC Lens

2. NC 2. Damp+
3. VIDEO 3. Drive +
4. GND 4. Drive-
1. Loosen the locking screw (2) by turning it
counter-clockwise.
2. Open the diaphragm to its fullest extent
manually If the images are overexposed, or for
lenses with automatic diaphragm adjustment:
reduce lighting levels or hold a neutral grey filter
in front of the lens.
3. Set the focus to .
Step 4: Connecting video signal
4. Select the wide angle (min. focal length) setting.
For composite video: connect BNC connector
VIDEO OUT (6) to the monitor with a coax cable.
5. Point the camera at an object (at a distance of at
least 2000 times the focal length of the lens).
Step 5: Backlight compensation:
6. Adjust the backfocus ring (1), alter the flange
focal distance until the image is clearly in focus.
Backlight compensation is available by switching pin
1 of (11) to ON
7. Select the telescopic (max. focal length) setting
and adjust the focus to improve image clarity.
Step 6: AES/AI selection
8. Reset the camera to the minimum focal length
(wide angle) and fine adjust the flange focal
distance using the adjustment ring (1).
Use DIP SW (11) pin 2 to select:
Set to ON: AES (auto electronic shutter) mode
