UTENSILI ADATTI
Per cucinare/scongelare cibo in un forno a microonde, l'energia a microonde deve poter passare attraverso un contenitore
perché penetri nel cibo. Per questo è importante scegliere gli utensili adatti.
I piatti rotondi o ovali sono preferibili a quelli quadrati o oblunghi, perché il cibo sui bordi tende a cuocere troppo. Diversi
utensili da cucina possono essere usati, come indicato sotto.

Fogli di alluminio
vaschette di alluminio

Piccoli pezzi di fogli di alluminio possono essere utilizzati per
proteggere il cibo dal surriscaldamento. Mantenete i fogli ad
almeno 2 cm dalle pareti del forno, poiché potrebbero veri carsi
archi elettrici.
Le vaschette di alluminio non sono consigliate, a meno che il
produttore non lo speci chi, per esempio Microfoil®. Seguite
attentamente le istruzioni.
Piatto crisp
/
Seguire sempre le istruzioni dei produttori. Non superare i tempi
di cottura indicati. Fare molta a attenzione perché i piatti possono
divenire molto caldi.
Porcellana e ceramica
/
Porcellana, terracotta, vasellame smaltato e porcellana  ne sono
di solito adatti, a meno che non abbiano decorazioni in metallo.
Stoviglie in vetro, ad es. Pyrex ®
Fate attenzione se utilizzate stoviglie in vetro  ne, poiché
potrebbero rompersi o creparsi se riscaldate improvvisamente.
Metallo
Non è consigliato l’utilizzo di utensili da cucina in metallo perché
possono creare archi elettrici che, a loro volta, possono causare
fuoco o incendi.
Plastica/polistirene, per esempio
contenitori di fast food
Fate attenzione poiché alcuni contenitori si deformano, si
sciolgono o scoloriscono ad alte temperature.
Pellicola protettiva
Non dovrebbe toccare il cibo e deve essere forata per permettere
al vapore di fuoriuscire.
Sacchetti per il freezer/l'arrosto
Deve essere forato per far fuoriuscire il vapore. Assicuratevi che i
sacchetti utilizzati siano adatti all'utilizzo nel forno a microonde.
Carta - piatti, bicchieri e carta
da cucina
Non utilizzate fermagli in plastica o metallo poiché possono
sciogliersi o prendere fuoco a causa degli archi metallici.
Paglia e contenitori di legno
Usate solamente per scaldare o per assorbire l'umidità.
Fate attenzione, poiché il surriscaldamento può causare incendi.
Carta riciclata e giornali
Fate sempre attenzione al forno quando utilizzate questi materiali
perché il surriscaldamento può provocare  ammate.
Può contenere estratti di metallo che causano archi metallici e
possono sfociare in  ammate.
ATTENZIONE: in caso di riscaldamento di alimenti inseriti in contenitori di plastica o di carta, a causa
della possibilità della loro combustione mantenete il forno sotto osservazione.
