GRATIN (AG-4)
Spinach gratin
Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter or margarine (20 g)
1 onion (50 g), chopped finely
600 g leaf spinach, frozen
salt & pepper
nutmeg
garlic powder
1 tsp butter or margarine to grease the
gratin dish
400 g boiled potatoes, in slices
200 g cooked ham, diced
3 eggs
100 ml cream (crème fraîche)
100 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda)
paprika powder to sprinkle
Procedure:
1. Place butter into a bowl, add chopped onion,
and cover. Heat for 2-3 minutes on HIGH
power.
2. Add spinach, and cover with a lid.
Cook for 12-14 minutes on HIGH power.
Stir once or twice while cooking.
Pour off the liquid and season the spinach.
3. Grease the gratin dish (26 cm). Place alternate
layers of potato slices, diced ham and spinach
in the dish. The top layer should be potatoes.
4. Whisk the eggs with the cream, add spices and
pour over the vegetables. Sprinkle grated
cheese and paprika powder on top. Place the
gratin on the low rack.
Cook on AUTO GRILL AG-4 “Gratin” (1.5 kg).
5. After cooking, let the food stand, wrapped in
aluminium foil, for approx. 5 minutes.
Hint: You can vary the ingredients of the
gratin in any way, e.g. use broccoli,
salami, noodles.
GRATIN (AG-4)
Broccoli-Potato-Gratin with Mushrooms
Ingredients:
350 g potatoes, peeled and optionally halved
350 g broccoli, in florets
6 tbsp water (60 ml)
1 tsp butter or margarine to grease the
gratin dish
350 g mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
salt & pepper
3 eggs
120 ml cream
120 ml milk
salt, pepper and nutmeg
80 g grated Gouda cheese
Procedure:
1. Place potatoes and broccoli into the bowl. Add
water and cover with a lid. Cook for 11-13
minutes on HIGH power. Stir once while
cooking.
2. Cut potatoes into slices.
3. Grease the gratin dish (round, 26 cm). Place
the broccoli, the mushrooms and the potatoes
alternately in layers.
4. Whisk the eggs with the liquid and spices and
pour over the vegetables. Sprinkle grated
cheese over the dish. Place the gratin on the
low rack.
Cook on AUTO GRILL AG-4 “Gratin” (1.5 kg).
5. After cooking, let the food stand, wrapped in
aluminium foil, for approx. 5 minutes.

Courgette-Pasta-Gratin
Ingredients:
500 ml water
1/2 tsp oil
80 g macaroni noodles
400 g tinned tomatoes, chopped
3 onions (150 g), chopped finely
basil, thyme, salt, pepper
1 tbsp oil to grease the dish
450 g courgettes, sliced
150 g sour cream
2 eggs
100 g grated Cheddar cheese
Procedure:
1. Put water, oil, and salt in a bowl and cover with
a lid. Cook for 3-5 minutes on HIGH power.
2. Break the macaroni noodles into small pieces
and add them to the water. Stir and allow to
soak. Cook for 9-11 minutes on MEDIUM LOW
power.
Drain the macaroni and arrow to cool.
3. Mix the tomatoes with the onions and season
well. Grease the gratin dish (round, 26 cm).
Add the macaroni and pour over the tomato
sauce. Place the courgette slices on top.
4. Mix eggs and sour cream and pour over the
dish. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top. Place
the gratin on the low rack.
Cook on AUTO GRILL AG-4 “Gratin” (1.5 kg).
5. After cooking, let the food stand, wrapped in
aluminium foil, for approx. 5 minutes.
