De luchtreiniger neemt via de luchtinlaat de kamerlucht op, voert de lucht achtereen-
volgens door een voor¿ lter, een afwasbaar geur¿ lter en een HEPA-¿ lter en blaast de
lucht via de luchtuitlaat weer de kamer in. Het HEPA-¿ lter verwijdert 99,97 % van alle
deeltjes groter dan 0,3 micron. Deze worden door het ¿ lter opgezogen.
Geuren die het afwasbaar geur¿ lter passeren, worden geleidelijk opgenomen.
Sommige geuren die door de filters geabsorbeerd worden, worden na verloop van
tijd afgebroken waardoor er een bijkomende geur ontstaat. Afhankelijk van de ge-
bruiksomgeving van de luchtreiniger, kan deze bijkomende geur sneller dan verwacht
sterker worden; dit is met name het geval wanneer het product wordt gebruikt in een
omgeving die aanzienlijk veeleisender is dan een huishoudelijke omgeving. Wanneer
deze bijkomende geur niet verdwijnt, moeten de ¿ lters worden vervangen.
• De luchtreiniger is bedoeld om luchtgedragen stofdeeltjes, pollen, micro organismen (huisstofmijt,
bacterieën, virussen en schimmels) en geuren uit de lucht te verwijderen, maar niet om schadelijke
gassen (bijvoorbeeld koolmonoxide in sigarettenrook) te verwijderen. Als u de bron van de geur
niet verwijdert, dan is de luchtreiniger mogelijk niet in staat de geur volledig weg te ¿ lteren.
