INFORMATION ON WEAR
Some components of your SCOTT speed pedelec are subject to wear due
to their function. The rate of wear and how rapid they will wear down de-
pend on care and maintenance and on the type of use of the SCOTT speed
pedelec (mileage, rides in the rain, dirt, salt, additional cargo etc.). SCOTT
speed pedelecs that are often or always left standing in the open may also
wear down more rapidly due to their exposure to weather influences.
Regular cleaning (a), care and maintenance increase the service life. Nev-
ertheless, the parts listed below must be replaced as soon as they have
reached their limit of wear.

Brake fluid (DOT)

Seals of suspension elements
Rubber grips
Cables/connectors

WARRANTY AND GUARANTEE
Your SCOTT speed pedelec was manufactured with great care and handed
over to you fully-assembled by your SCOTT dealer.
As the direct purchaser, you have full warranty rights within the first two
years after purchase in the countries of the EU. Please contact your SCOTT
dealer in the event of defects.
To ensure a smooth handling of your complaint, it is necessary to present
your receipt, the handover report and the service reports. Therefore, be sure
to keep these documents in a safe place.
To ensure a long service life and durability of your SCOTT speed pedelec,
it is imperative that you use it only according to its intended purpose (see
the chapters “Tests before your first ride“ and “Intended use of your SCOTT
speed pedelec”). Observe the maximum total weight of 130 kg. Further-
more, observe the mounting instructions of the manufacturers (above all the
torque values of the bolts) as well as the prescribed maintenance schedule.
Observe the tests and works as well as the necessary replacement of safe-
ty-relevant components, if need be, such as handlebar, brakes etc., listed
in the present translation of the original SCOTT operating instructions (see
“SCOTT service and maintenance schedule”) as well as in the translation of
the detailed original SCOTT operating instructions trekking and trekking
pedelec and in the system instructions of the drive manufacturer BOSCH on
the SCOTT web page.
WARNING
Keep in mind that retrofitted accessories can impair the functioning of the SCOTT
speed pedelec. Therefore, observe the guidelines for the parts replacement, see
pp. 54+55. If you are in doubt or if you have any questions, contact your SCOTT
dealer.

This warranty law is only valid in the countries that have implemented the EU
Directive into national law. Inform yourself about the regulations in your country.
