A IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

3 Sit the appliance on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.
4 Keep the appliance and cable away from the edges of worktops and out of reach of children.
5 Unplug the appliance when not in use.
6 Don’t use accessories or attachments other than those we supply.
7 Don’t use the appliance for any purpose other than those described in these instructions.
8 This appliance must not be operated by an external timer or remote control system.
9 Don’t use the appliance if it’s damaged or malfunctions.
10 If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or
someone similarly qualified, in order to avoid hazard.

U BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Fill the reservoir to the max mark, and run the appliance without coffee.
C THE CARAFE IS INSULATED
1 This means you can enjoy fresh, hot coffee anywhere in the home or garden.
2 To prevent heat loss by evaporation, we’ve fitted a screw-on lid.
3 To open the spout for pouring, press the lever at the rear of the lid.
4 To remove the lid, turn it to align the w with the U.
5 Rinse the carafe with hot water, to prewarm it, so it doesn’t take heat from the coffee.
6 Replace the lid in the same position, then turn it to align the w with the L.
C FILLING
7 Remove the carafe from the rest.
8 Use the grip to open the lid, and expose the reservoir.
9 Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but not above the max mark.
10 Push the water pipe back towards the lid.
11 Open up a #4 paper filter, and put it into the filter holder.
12 Put filter-ground coffee into the filter. The amount will vary with the type of coffee and
individual taste, but we suggest two rounded teaspoons per cup of water.
13 Close the lid.
14 Replace the carafe on the rest.
C SWITCH ON
15 Put the plug into the power socket.
C COFFEE NOW
16 Press the [ button. The [ light will glow.
17 Shortly afterwards, coffee will start to drip into the carafe.
18 If you want to stop the coffee maker while it’s brewing, press the [ button.
C COFFEE LATER
19 The clock will retain its settings until the coffee maker is unplugged.
20 The display will show AM for morning, and PM for afternoon.
21 Set the clock to the correct time.
