C FILLING
1 If it’s just been used, check that the light is out. If it’s not, press the [ button till it goes out
(press once in manual mode, twice if AUTO is showing).
2 Use the grip to open the lid, and expose the reservoir.
3 Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but not above max.
4 Alternatively, you may lift the reservoir off the appliance, fill it in the kitchen, and carry it back
to the appliance.
5 If you do this, make sure that the reservoir is in place, and the catches on top of the reservoir
are hooked over the tabs in the body of the appliance, before you proceed.
6 Open up a #4 paper filter, and put it into the filter holder.
7 Put filter-ground coffee into the filter. The amount will vary with the type of coffee and
individual taste, but we suggest two rounded teaspoons per cup of water.
8 Close the lid.
9 Turn the carafe so the spout points away from the control panel, and sit it on the hotplate.
