sure that you will have lots of pleasure with your new appliance, we ask you to carefully observe the
following notes, to keep this instruction manual for future reference and to pass it on to any user.

For Your Safety
• Check if the data on the type plate is in conformity with your mains voltage. Only connect to
alternating current.
• The cable, as well as the cables of adjacent electrical appliances must not contact hot parts of the
unit.
• Put the appliance on a heat resistant base (no varnished tables, no table cloths) and do not
operate it in the proximity of other heat sources (stove, gas flames etc.).
• For protection against risk of fire, the appliance must be placed at least 10 cm from all walls. Keep
the space above the appliance free to ensure unhindered air circulation.
• During use the appliance gets hot. Avoid the risk of burning while touching the appliance!
• Children and persons with handicaps of physical, sensorial or mental nature must not operate this
appliance without an adequate supervision and/or corresponding expert advice and safety
instructions.
• Children should be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with this appliance.
• Do not at all operate this unit with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
• Do not use the appliance as a room heater. Always use under close supervision. Overheated fat
and oil can ignite.
• Our electrical appliances comply with the relevant safety regulations. If the appliance or the cable
is damaged, immediately unplug the appliance. Repairs can only be made by an authorized repair
shop. Inappropriate repairs may result in considerable danger for the user.
Inappropriate use or disregard of the instruction manual will lead to loss of warranty.
• The model TL 2595/A is equipped with a cover which can be removed for cleaning. Please provide
that the cover will be closed only when the appliance is switched off and the hot plates are cooled
down.
Initial Use
Heat up the heating plates without a pot on maximum heat for about 10 minutes. By this
the coating then gets its optimal protection effect. Please don’t be bothered by the slight formation of
smoke for a short time.
Directions For Use
The hot plates are equipped with a thermostat, which offers an infinitely variable regulation and
overheating protection at the same time. The pilot light goes out as soon as the selected temperature
is reached. The alternating lighting-up and going out during operation show the thermostatic
regulation. Only use electro pots and pans with the appropriate diameter. If the pot bottom is uneven
or too small, energy will be wasted.
Cleaning And Maintenance
Always keep the heating plates dry since dampness and steam will result in rust formation. In addition,
specialist shops offer special cleansing agents. Clean the cold casing with a damp cloth and a mild
detergent, do not use any abrasives or steel-wool. Do not immerse the appliance in water and make
sure that no steam or water enters it. You must not clean it with a steam jet appliance.
