spit centrally until it is pushed fi rmly into the fi rst xing bracket.
Then slide the second fi xing bracket on the spit and push it rmly into the chicken. Also tighten this screw.
Check that the chicken is properly centred on the spit.
Tightly truss the chicken with a heat-proof cotton string suitable for food to prevent any meat parts from
getting in contact with the heating elements.
By means of the rotisserie handle you may now lift the rotisserie assembly into the oven. Firstly, insert the
spit with the pointed end in the hole on the right hand side of the interior oven and then place it in the
support provided on the left hand side.
Now select “upper heat with rotisserie” or “upper and lower heat with rotisserie and circulating air”.
Switch on the appliance via the lower rotary knob by opting for the manual setting “M” on the left or for
the timer setting on the right. Make sure that the meat to be grilled is rotating properly and that it does not
touch the heating elements (IMPORTANT – otherwise the meat might catch fi re).
Then set the desired temperature by means of the upper rotary knob.
For the grilling procedure, we recommend to fi ll about half of the baking tray with water and insert it in the
lower guiding to make it act as a drip pan. By this means, dripping fat will be collected and the appliance
will stay clean and your food will become especially tender due to the ascending steam.
Please make sure to set the function switch to “upper heat with rotisserie” in this case.
NOTE: When grilling with the rotisserie spit, you have to bring the door in the grilling position, i.e. to leave
the door ajar, to allow for circulation of air.
5. More tips and notes
Always pre-heat the oven until the desired temperature has been reached before you put in the food to be
cooked and place the food in the middle of the roasting tray.
The best cooking results are achieved if you turn the roasting tray after about half of the cooking time, so
that the food from the rear gets shifted to the front.
Attention! Hazard of fi re! Always place food from which fat may drip, on the roasting tray in order to prevent
ignition of the fat on the heating element. Bread toasted too long may also catch fi re!
Attention! Hazard of burns! Handle hot accessory parts, pots and pans with potholders only!
Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down before cleaning!
The accessories can be cleaned in warm water with some dishwashing detergent or in the dishwasher. Due
to its non-stick coating the oven is very easy to clean. Wipe the casing, the oven chamber and the oven door
with a moist cloth and wipe dry. Never immerse the appliance in water and make sure no steam or water
can infi ltrate the underside! On no account must you use steel wool, scrubbing pads, abrasives, solvents or
oven cleaners!
Have a lot of fun when baking, roasting and grilling!
