Gefeliciteerd met de aanschaf van SONAR Home Studio XL! Sonar is professionele
software waarmee je muziek kunt opnemen, bewerken, componeren en arrangeren. Met
Sonar neem je net zo makkelijk Midi als audio op, en door het gebruik van software
synthesizers en effect plugins kun je in elk denkbare situatie bij SONAR terecht. Of het
nu gaat om het produceren van een R&B hit, of dat je een arrangementje voor het koor
wilt uitwerken, een stuk klassieke muziek wilt componeren of een partymix wilt maken,
dit programma is je werkplek.
Met SONAR kun je verschillende audio formaten aan, zoals Wave, MP3, ACIDized
waves, WMA, AIFF en andere gangbare audio formaten. Sonar ondersteunt naast de
standaard Windows geluidskaart drivers ook high end audio hardware voor gebruik in
een muziekstudio. Daarnaast werkt SONAR natuurlijk ook met MIDI en met software
synthesizers.
Installeren
Voordat je met Sonar aan de gang kunt, moet je het gaan installeren op je computer. Dit
is niet zo moeilijk. Nadat je je computer hebt opgestart en je alle andere programma's
hebt afgesloten leg je de Sonar DVD in de DVD speler van je computer. Een beetje
afhankelijk van hoe je bepaalde instellingen hebt gemaakt start het installatie programma
nu automatisch op, of er gebeurd niets. Er kan ook een Windows scherm verschijnen
waarin gevraagd wordt wat je wilt doen, met een aantal opties daaronder. Als het
installatieprogramma niet vanzelf opstart, dan ga je via mijn computer naar de DVD
speler waarin de Sonar DVD ligt, dubbel klik. Nu zal de installer wel opstarten. Zoniet,
dan klik je rechtermuisknop, openen en dan dubbelklik op autorun.exe. Het Sonar
installatie scherm verschijnt, en je hoort een muziekje. Let op dat je geluidsinstallatie niet
te hard staat. Je kunt nu kiezen uit drie verschillende talen: Duits, Frans en Engels. Kies
Engels, tenzij je Duits of Frans prefereert. Hierna volg je de instructies op het scherm op.
Je kunt bijvoorbeeld kiezen welke onderdelen er geïnstalleerd moeten worden, en in
welke folder op je harddisk. SONAR doet steeds een voorstel, die zijn in verreweg de
meeste gevallen helemaal ok, dus daar hoef je eigenlijk niets aan te doen.
Wil je na een tijdje Sonar weer deïnstalleren, Sonar plaatst tijdens de installatie een
Uninstal icoon in het Start menu. Gebruik die in dat geval.
