U.D.T. TEAM BOAT WITH FIGURES
The U.S. Navy SEALs can trace its roots back to 1942 and
the Underwater Demolition Team. The UDT was formed
during World War II to inspect, under the cover of darkness,
the strength of the enemy. These brave “Frogmen”, so
called because of their rubber suits and flippers, would get
in close and inspect the beach. Then using a disciplined
recovery system, they were recovered by the swift UDT boat.
Today the Navy SEAL program has expanded to include many
different vehicles and operations. But during WW II the most
important job was the lives of the marines landing on the
beach. By going in early, the UDT group not only discovered
what the landing marines were facing, but they could also
eliminate obstacles. Then they swam back out to be picked
up by the UDT boat. They developed a special “slingshot”
maneuver which pulled them into the boat as it went by.

* Each plastic part is identified by a number.
* In the assembly drawings, some parts will
be marked by a star

plated plastic.
* For better paint and decal adhesion,
wash the plastic parts in a mild detergent
solution. Rinse and let air dry.
* Check the fit of each piece before
cementing in place.
* Use only cement for polystyrene plastic.
* Scrape plating and paint from areas to
be cemented.
* Allow paint to dry thoroughly before
handling parts.
* Any unused parts may be discarded.

* Toute pièce non-utilisée peut être jetée.
