Boeing 737-800 TUIfly „HaribAIR“ Boeing 737-800 TUIfly „HaribAIR“
kooperation zusammengeschlossen. Diese perfekte Kommuni -
kations plattform geht nun weiter, denn die beiden Marken
passen aufgrund ihrer starken Familien orientierung sehr gut
Since February 2010, the TUIfly Boeing 737-800 with the regi-
stration D-ATUD has been flying under the name of
“HaribAIR”. This very conspicuous aircraft with its unique gol-
den colour scheme now advertises, along with its blue sister
aircraft as a second flying ambassador for the Haribo
Company. The successful co-operation between TUIfly and
HARIBO now goes into the second round. The Golden Bear”
himself personally christened the HaribAIRaircraft, which is
extremely well liked by children, at Düsseldorf Airport. It offers
seating for up to 189 passengers and is used by TUIfly on regu-
lar routes. At the end of 2008, HARIBO and TUIfly united in a
unique marketing co-operative venture. This perfect platform
of communication now continues. Because both brands pass
together so well due to their strong orientation towards the
family, they instantly achieved enormous success. “HaribAIR” is
currently one of 23 Boeing aircraft in the TUIfly fleet which
fly’s to 20 destinations in Europe and North Africa. TUIfly is the
result of an amalgamation of Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX) and
Hapagfly in the summer 2007. The airline belongs to TUI Travel
PLC of London, in which TUI AG participates as the largest
Travel Company in the world. The Boeing 737 is the most suc-
cessful and reliable aircraft in the world. With 189 seats, the
B737-800 has 17 seats more than its predecessor, the 737-400;
has a 10% greater range; flys 10% faster and at the same time
saves 10% of the fuel. The last modifications carried out on the
new Boeing 737 were the large winglets (up-turned wing-
tips), which allow a greater rate of climb and save even more fuel.
