Operation
Connect the consumer load to the mains socket (F).
Please consult the section “Technical Data” for the consumer load’s permis-
sible maximum power.
By using the respective “ON” or “OFF” button of the switching channel on the hand-
held radio transmitter the radio-controlled switch socket is turned on/off again with
the same set switching channel (control-LED (E) lights up or turns off).
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disas-
sembled for any reason.
Remove connected consumer loads from the radio-controlled switch socket and re-
move it from the mains socket, before cleaning the product.
Only clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions, since they might damage the surface of the housing or
impair the function.
Handling
The product is only to be used in closed, dry indoor locations. The product
must not get damp or wet.
Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installa-
tion location and during transportation:
- Excessive humidity or dampness
- Direct sunlight
- Extreme cold or heat
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery
or loudspeakers
Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor
destroyed. Never disassemble the product! There are no serviceable
parts inside.
Check the product for damage before each use!
If you recognize damages, don’t use the product any longer! There is dan-
ger to life through an electric shock!
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible:
- if the device is visibly damaged
- if the device no longer works
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period
of time
- Following considerable stress during transportation
Range
The transmission range of the radio signals, between the hand-held transmitter and
the radio-controlled switch sockets, is up to 30 m under optimum conditions.
This value, however, is the so-called “open space range” (the range when
transmitter and receiver are visible to each other, without interfering influ-
ences).
In practice, however, there may be walls, room ceilings etc. between the
transmitter and the receiver which reduce the range accordingly.
Due to the different influences on the wireless transmission, no specific
range can be guaranteed.
Nevertheless, trouble-free operation in a single-family home is usually pos-
sible.
Sometimes the range can be considerably reduced due to:
Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
Coated/metallised insulated glass
Proximity to metallic & conductive objects (e.g., heating elements)
Proximity to human bodies
Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobiles, radio-
controlled headphones, radio-controlled speakers, other radio-controlled weather
stations, baby phones etc.)
Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, computers
Proximity to computers or other electrical devices that are improperly shielded or
operated without any cover
Disposal
a) General
Please dispose of the products when they are no longer of use, according to
the current statutory requirements.
b) Normal and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol
to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designa-
tions for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb =
Lead.
Used batteries/rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to collec-
tion points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies/coin cells are sold!
You therefore fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment!
