13.1 General
To ensure optimal combustion, the boiler, associated
equipment and the boiler room must be cleaned at least
once a year. This is to avoid fouling of the burners and
the boiler during operation as a consequence of dust
intake, especially with the Remeha Gas 3002 in room
ventilated form. This will ultimately result in poor combus-
tion and the possible formation of soot.
13.2 Servicing
Before boiler maintenance is started, the following parts
must be removed:
- Top and front casings, as well as the top side casing at
the side of the connections.
Maintenance work includes:
a. Cleaning the ue gas part of the boiler.
- Inspection for fouling of the boiler block by removing
of one or two burner units (incl. mixing section,
see g. 23). If cleaning is required, all burner units and
the front panel of the fl ue gas collector (see A., fi g.
24) must be removed. Having removed the supports
which hold down the fl ue gas drawer bet ween the
sections, remove the fl ue gas drawer downwards at
an angle. The boiler block can now be cleaned from
the top using a cleaning brush.
Clean the fl ue gas collector afterwards.
- Checking the burners.
The burner surface must not be mechanically
cleaned. When cleaning is neccessary, this can be
done using low pressure air. (e.g. with compres-
sed air at 2 to 5 bar; make sure the distance to the
burner surface is approx. 1 cm.).
b. External cleaning of the boiler casing.
c. External cleaning of the equipment: ignition device,
ionization electrode, cabling and gas equipment.
d. Cleaning of the fan.
Reassemble the parts. Special attention should be paid
to the various seals (boiler is pressurised). Any damaged
or hardened (powdery white appearance) seals must be
replaced.
e. Checking the control and the safety signalling of the
ame monitoring device.
f. Checking the load control.
g. Determining the effi ciency.
h. Checking the overall condition of the installation (leak
detection, etc.).
