De frequentie van het weerkaatste signaal varieert in functie van de snelheid van het doelwit.
Dit fenomeen is gekend als het Doppler effect. Het radartoestel bepaalt de snelheid van het voertuig

7.3 LASER DETECTIE
Laserdetectie is een ander signaal dat gedetecteerd kan worden. Laser Speed Guns gebruiken de
impulsen van infrarood laser licht om de snelheid door de tijd van de reactie van het signaal op te
meten.
7.4 LASERVELD
Heteffectievewerkingsveldvaneenlasergunisminderdan1km.Deoperatorvaneenlasergunricht
altijd op de nummerplaat. U heeft er dus alle voordeel bij uw laserdetector zo laag mogelijk in uw wagen
aan te brengen. De DRIVE CONTROL PRO kan zowel langs voor als langs achter een lasersignaal
detecteren.
Als de laser detector geactiveerd wordt door weerkaatste signalen van de laserstraal gericht naar
het voertuig voor u, hebt u nog steeds voldoende tijd om te reageren op de snelheidscontrole. Als de
Laser Detector geactiveerd wordt door een laserstraal gericht op uw voertuig, dan werd uw snelheid al
gemeten tijdens het laseralarm.
7.5 ANDERE SNELHEIDSCONTROLES
Er zijn een aantal andere snelheidscontroles die niet door een laser of radar detector opgespoord kunnen
worden. Hieronder vinden we digitale video-opnamen, inductielussen en optische snelheidscontroles
terug. Deze controles moeten door een GPS gedetecteerd worden.
Een Radar Detector kan enkele van deze controles detecteren, maar niet allemaal. De nieuwe generatie
radarcontroles wordt steeds moeilijker te detecteren door een Radar Detector. Bovendien is de Radar
