Release the ON/OFF switch [1-2] to stop the ma-
chine.
When the ON/OFF switch is released, the working
spindle (chuck) stops immediately.
Bit store [1-1]
The bit cartridge can be used to store bits and bit
holders. The magnetic holder can also be used for
screws and similar items.
Belt clip
Clamp for attaching to the belt [1-6; on the right/
left] enables the device to be attached to work
wear for a short-term.
Light and battery capacity indicator
The LED [1-8] is both a light and a battery capac-
ity indicator:
Press the light button [1-7].
1x Light on
switches off automatically after 30 min.
2x Battery capacity indicator on
switches off automatically after 10 sec.
3x LED off
The LED [1-8] on the lamp indicates the charging
status of the battery pack.
LED green – steady light: The Li-Ion bat-
tery pack is charged to more than 60%.
LED green – slow ash: The Li-Ion bat-
tery pack is charged to 60–30%.
LED green – rapid ash: The Li-Ion bat-
tery pack is charged to 30–0%.
LED yellow – steady light: Battery pack
discharged. Please charge it!
LED red – steady light: The tempera-
ture value of the battery pack, electronic
compartment or the motor is higher than
the permissible limit.
LED red – ashing: General fault indi-
cation, e.g., loose contact, short circuit,
defective battery pack, etc.
The charge indicator works only with Li-Ion
battery packs, not with NiCd or NiMH battery
packs.

9 Service and maintenance
WARNING
Risk of injury, electric shock
- Always disconnect the battery pack from the
machine before any maintenance or care
work!
- All maintenance and repair work which re-
quires the motor housing to be opened, must
only be carried out by an authorised service
workshop.
Observe the following care and maintenance in-
structions
- Keep the air slits on the machine and the charg-
er clean to ensure adequate cooling.
- Keep the contacts on the machine, charger and
battery pack clean.
Information on battery packs
- Where possible, store the battery pack in a cool,
dry place at a temperature between 5 °C and
25 °C.
- Protect the battery pack from moisture, water
and heat.
- Signi cantly shorter operating times after each
charge indicate that the battery pack is worn
and should be replaced with a new one.
- The LiIon battery pack is fully compatible with
the charger! Integrated electronics prevent
overloading and overheating during the charg-
ing process.
- LiIon battery packs can be used immediately
and recharged at any time, even if they are not
completely discharged.
- If the LiIon battery pack is stored without use for
a longer period of time, it can only be charged
to the 40% of its capacity (the time of charging
is 15 minutes approximately), and its storage
temperature must not exceed 25 °C.
- Battery packs are most ef cient at temperatures
between 20 °C and 30 °C.
- Storing the battery pack in an operating charger
keeps the battery pack continually charged.
- Do not leave at battery packs in a charger
disconnected from the mains power supply for
longer than one month. There is a risk of total
discharge.
10 Transport
The equivalent amount of lithium in the LiIon bat-
tery pack is less than the applicable limit value
and certi ed as per UN manual ST/SG/AC.10/11/
rev. 3 part III, subsection 38.3. The LiIon battery
pack is therefore not subject to national and inter-
national dangerous goods regulations, neither as
an individual component nor as a tted machine
component. However, dangerous goods regulations
