NOTE:
It is normal that strange odour will come out of the iron when operating the iron for the first
time. This will cease after a short while.
Some particles may come ou
t

or the

irst time. This is
normal. The particles are harmless and will stop coming out of the iron after a short while.
When operating the steam generator, i

sound tells you that water is being pumped into the steam generator.
During the heating process of the soleplate, there will be a little steam coming out from the
soleplate automatically and this phenomenon will continue for about 3 seconds. This is
normal.
Ironing Temperature Setting Guide
READ THE GARMENT LABELS AND FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER’S IRONING INSTRUCTIONS THAT
ARE OFTEN SHOWN BY SYMBOLS SIMILAR TO THE ONES BELOW:
x The iron heats up more quickly than it cools down. Therefore, start ironing articles that need to be
ironed at the lowest temperature, such as those made of synthetic fibres.
x

fibres, always select the temperature required by the most
delicate fibres, i.e. the lowest temperature.
x
Silk and other fabrics that are likely to become shiny should be ironed on the inner side.
x Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one direction with light
pressure applied. Always keep the iron moving at any moment.
x If you do not know what kind of fabric the article is made of, iron a piece of the material which is
not visible when you wear it to find out the appropriate temperature for your articles.
x
Pure woollen fabrics (100% wool) should be ironed with the steam ironing. It is recommended to
set the temperature dial to the maximum position and use a dry pressing cloth
x
Never iron over zip, rivet in the cloth. This will damage the soleplate. Iron around any such
object.
x
When steam ironing woollen fabrics, shiny patches may occur. You may prevent this by turning
the article inside out and ironing the reverse side.
Steam Ironing
Before ironing, check that the garment to be ironed is suitable for steam ironing.
Always make sure the appliance is unplugged before filling the water tank.
1. Place the appliance on a stable level surface.
2. Press the tab under the water tank handle to remove the water tank out
of the base unit.
