9.5 Height adjustment instructions

Caution: before changing mowing height, stop mower and disconnect spark

plug cable.

Your mower is equipped with a central height adjustment lever offering 8 height positions.

 Stop mower and disconnect spark plug cable before changing mower cutting height.

 To change the height of cut, squeeze adjuster lever toward the wheel, moving up or down

to selected height.

 All wheels will be in the same height of cut.

Medium position is best for most lawns.

9.6 Rear cover position / grass expelling

The rear cover can be used in 2 positions:

 Cutting up and collected in the grass catcher

 Cutting up and ejecting backwards

9.7 Gras box warning system (Fig. 7)

There is a warning piece in the grass catcher which will indicate the grass volume.

 If the flap is open it means that there is still space for grass collection.

 If the flap is closed it means that there is no space for grass collection.

9.8 Mowing tips

 Under certain conditions, such as very tall grass, it may be necessary to raise the cutting

height to reduce resistance (prevent overload of the engine) and leaving clumps of grass

clippings. It may also be necessary to run the lawn mower over the area a second time.

 For extremely heavy cutting, reduce the width of cut by over lapping previously cut paths

and mow slowly.

 The pores in the cloth grass catcher can become blocked with dirt and dust and will collect

less grass. To prevent this, regularly hose down the grass catcher and let dry before re

using.

 Keep the top of the engine (around the starter) clear and clean of grass clippings and

chaff. This will help engine air flow and extend engine life.

purpose:

 From lawn mower with rear discharge to, Mulching mower or as side-discharge mower.

10.1 What is mulching

When mulching, the grass is cut in one working step, then finely chopped and returned to the

grass strip as natural fertilizer.

Hints for mulch-mowing:

 Regular cut-back by max. 2 cm from 6 cm to 4 cm grass height.

 Use a sharp cutting knife

 Do not mow wet grass

 Set to max. motor speed

 Only move at working pace

 Regularly clean mulching wedge, housing inner side and mowing blade
