13.5 Storage
▪ The following steps should be taken if you store the generator for more than 30 days.
▪ Drain all the fuel from the fuel tank into a suitable container.
▪ Remove the maintenance cover to gain access to the carburetor.
▪ Turn the engine switch to the ‘ON’ position and loosen the carburetor drain screw to allow
the fuel in the carburetor to drain into a suitable container.
▪ Remove the spark plug HT lead cap and pull the recoil starter handle three to four times to
remove all the fuel from the fuel lines.
▪ Turn the engine switch to the ‘OFF’ position and tighten the carburetor drain plug screw.
▪ Change the engine oil following the procedure 6.14 to 6.20.
▪ Remove the spark plug and pour a tablespoon of fresh engine oil down the cylinder bore.
▪ Pull the recoil starter handle three to four times to distribute the oil along the cylinder bore,
then refit the spark plug.
▪ Store in a dry place away from sources of ignition.
▪ Do not stack items on top of the leaf blower.
