To create a disc project
1 Do one of the following:
• Choose File > New > Disc to start a new disc project.
• For an existing movie project, with the project open in the timeline, on the timeline
toolbar, click the Open Author toolbar button
2 Build your disc project using the same controls and techniques that you would for a
movie project.
3 Click the Export to MyDVD button below the timeline toolbar to export your disc
project.
To add chapter markers to a disc project
1 Ensure that your project is open in the Timeline and that the Open Author toolbar
button is enabled.
2 Use the scrubber to move the to the frame where you want to add a chapter a marker.
3 On the timeline toolbar, click the Create Chapter Marker button .
A marker appears in the bar below the timeline toolbar, above the timeline scrubber.
If you want to rename the chapter, type a new name in the chapter box on the timeline
toolbar.
If you want to delete a chapter marker, navigate to the marker using the arrow keys
beside the chapter name, and click the Remove Chapter Marker button .
Author tab (legacy)
Although it is recommended that you export your disc projects to MyDVD, if you have used
the Author tab in previous versions of Pinnacle Studio and want to re-enable this legacy
feature, choose Setup > Control Panel > Legacy Options. At the bottom of the page, click
the Enable button for the Legacy Authoring Mode.
