Establishing communication link
When you switch the SBC SC475 system on, note that it takes up to 20 seconds before the link is established
between the Parent and Baby units. Note that the further away the Baby and Parent units are from each other, the
longer it takes to get a proper link.

Operating range
Maximum operating range is 300m in ideal conditions. Walls and floors will limit this distance. When the system is
out of range, walk back towards the Baby unit in stages while holding the Parent unit and stand still until a link is
established between both units. Switching the units off and on can often help to re-establish a link.

Because the SBC SC475 is a digital system, it sometimes takes a moment to adjust when the operating range is
longer. During this time the sound may be interrupted momentarily (short pauses). To solve this it helps to move the
Parent unit around a few centimetres. As long as the system light remains green, the link is reliable.

If you use the SBC SC475 digital baby monitor to continuously transmit sound (the sensitivity level is at 9) the battery
lifetime in the Parent unit is limited (to a couple of hours). In this mode it is advisable to keep the Parent unit
continuously in its charging base.
