P1: The cassette cannot be taken out.
S1-1: Is the Movie Camera supplied with power?
Is the AC Adaptor correctly connected or the
Battery correctly attached? To remove the
cassette, the Movie Camera must be
supplied with power, however, it is not
necessary to set the [OFF/ON/MODE]
Switch to [ON].
S1-2: The attached Battery may be discharged.
Replace it with a charged Battery.
P2: No operation except taking out the
cassette can be performed.
S2: Is the Condensation Indication [3]
displayed? If condensation has formed
inside the Movie Camera, it automatically
switches off and prevents all operations
except taking out the cassette. Wait until the
Condensation Indication disappears.

P3: The Remote Controller does not work.
S3-1: Is the button-type battery in the Remote
Controller exhausted? If the Remote
Controller does not work when you use it
near the Remote Controller Sensor on the
Movie Camera, the button-type battery is
exhausted. Replace it with a new battery.

S3-2: Is the correct Remote Controller Mode
selected? If the Movie Cameras setting for
[REMOTE] on the [OTHER FUNCTIONS]
Sub-Menu and the mode selected on the
Remote Controller are not matched,
operating the Movie Camera with the
Remote Controller is not possible and the
[REMOTE] Indication is displayed. (p. 107)
MultiMediaCard/SD Memory Card
(NV-MX5, NV-MX7 only)
P1: The recorded pictures are not beautiful.
S1: Was [PICTURE QUALITY] on the [CARD
SETUP] Sub-Menu set to [ECONOMY]?
If it was set to [ECONOMY] for recording,
pictures with many fine details may contain
mosaic-like patterns. Set [PICTURE
QUALITY] to [NORMAL] or [FINE]. (p. 82)
P2: The picture quality deteriorated after
Mega-Pixel pictures were captured in the
PC.
S2: Is the DV Terminal (i.LINK) or Digital Still
Picture Terminal being used to capture the
pictures? To capture Mega-Pixel pictures,
record files on a Card in the PC with the
USB Reader Writer for the SD Memory Card
(optional), etc. (p. 102)
P3: The played back Card Photoshot picture
does not look normal.
S3: The image data may be damaged.
To prevent the loss of picture data, it is
recommended that you make a backup copy
on a cassette (p. 86) or on the computer.
