OFX 3100 - INSTRUCTIONS COMPLEMENTARY NOTES
Broadcast transmission (additional information)
During broadcast transmission (see page 68 of the manual), we recommend you set the facsimile number
of each correspondent carefully following the indications given on the display: after setting a number, wait
for the message “TYPE KEY/CODE/NO.” to appear before setting the next number to ensure that the
facsimile machine establishes the connections correctly.
If the parameter “LAST TX REPORT” has been enabled in the operating configuration (see page 50 of the
manual), the facsimile will print the report for each correspondent at the end of transmission. However, if you
want an overall picture of the result of broadcast transmission, you must request, during transmission, a
printout of the connection activities (see page 82 of the manual). This printout provides you with the reference
parameters that enable you to see how transmission went:
- The “Act. No.” parameter represents the progressive number of the connection activity carried out or to be
carried out.
The Doc. R.” parameter represents the document reference number. The number will remain the same -
for all the correspondents called in broadcast transmission - until the end of transmission.
- The “Destination ID” parameter represents the ID of the receiving terminal which corresponds, in most
cases, to the destination user’s facsimile number.
- The “Status” parameter indicates the operating status of each connection.
Transmission from memory (additional information)
For all unsuccessful transmission operations from the memory, providing you have not enabled the “AUTO
DEL. DOC. TX NOT OK” (see page 51 of the manual), you can repeat transmission simply by changing the
time of the connection (see page 81 of the manual).

“STORE DATA” on the first line and “CHANGE DATE/TIME” on the second line.
Page 52, operating configuration parameter table; the default setting for the “AUTO DEL. DOC. TX NOT OK”
is: NO.
Page 85, “Doc. R.” parameter, the symbol “***” means: document automatically cleared from the memory
because it was transmitted successfully.
Page 85, “Page No.” parameter, the symbol “***” means: number of pages not counted as the document
was automatically cleared from the memory after being transmitted successfully.
Page 110, “Doc. R.” parameter, the message “POLL.” appears in place of the “***” symbol. This means
the document was received by polling.
Page 112, “Doc. R.” parameter, when “POLL.” appears, this means document sent by polling. In place of
the “***” symbol, a blank space appears to indicate that the document has been received and printed
correctly.
Page 115, “Doc. R.” parameter, in place of the “***” symbol, a blank space appears to indicate that the
document has been received and printed correctly. When “POLL.” appears, this means that the document
was sent/received by polling.
