Dit apparaat speelt MP3's en WMV digitale bestanden en koppelt de stereo rechtstreeks
aan de PC. Het apparaat werkt alleen in combinatie met een router of een wireless acces
point. Er zit een afstandsbediening bij, is compatible met 802.11b of 802.11g draadloze
netwerken en heeft WEP encryptie (64bit en 128 bit). Het moet zelfs mogelijk zijn om
internetradio te luisteren en is heel makkelijk aan te sluiten. Verbind de kabel naar de
stereo-installatie, installeer de software op een netwerk PC en de NETGEAR vindt
automatisch alle MP3's en WMV bestanden die op de PC's staan. Onderstaande
afbeeldingen zijn gemaakt met de standaard media server software. Er is de
mogelijkheid een nieuwere versie van de software te installeren, waarbij het mogelijk
kan zijn dat de schermen er anders uit zien.
LET OP: De meegeleverde software is niet geschikt voor Windows Vista. Hier wordt door
Netgear en Caiway geen ondersteuning op geboden. Wel kunt u op eigen gelegenheid
aan de slag met alternatieve software zoals www.twonkyvision.com .
