2 User manual AM10 (en)
2.1 Introduction
The AM10 is a simple, outdoor temperature-controlled regulator with a
linear heating curve. The heating is switched on or off, depending on the
On/Off input.
2.2 Heating curve (
Æ
fig. 1)
The heating curve shows the correlation between the outdoor
temperature (D) and the flow temperature (E). This is a straight line,
which can be described by two points (A and B). Point A is the flow
temperature when the outdoor temperature is -10 °C and point B is the
flow temperature when the outdoor temperature is +20 °C. C is the flow
temperature set on the boiler (Æ fig. 1).
The flow temperature requested by the AM10 can never be higher than
the flow temperature set on the boiler. This is why you are advised to
adjust the flow temperature on the boiler (line C) to its maximum value,
unless there is a reason to deliberately limit the flow temperature, for
example with floor heating.
2.3 Operation (
Æ
fig. 2)
You can use the "mode" key (Æ fig. 2, [1]) to select the various menu
items ; a dash (Æ fig. 2, [2]) in the display
marks the symbol which corresponds with the relevant menu item.
When a menu item can be set, its value will flash. The value can then be
changed using the “+”and “–” keys (Æ fig. 2, [3]). The settings will be
retained even in the event of a power cut. If the display is not operated
for 10 seconds, the idle display (outdoor temperature) will be shown
automatically. If a locking fault occurs, the display code will be shown
(flashing).
The following additional symbols can be shown in the display:
2.4 Description of the settings
Idle display (
Æ
fig. 3)
The current outdoor temperature is shown (i.e. 18 °C) and the
corresponding symbol is marked. The AM10 has registered a heat
demand and the boiler is in heating mode .
Flow temperature setpoint (
Æ
fig. 4)
The second menu item R was selected using the “mode” key. This is
the flow temperature requested by the AM10. Range: 0 - 90 °C.
End point of the heating curve (
Æ
fig. 5)
The symbol was selected using the “mode” key. This is the end
point of the heating curve which equals an outdoor temperature of
-10 °C. The value is flashing and can be changed using the “+”and “–”
keys.
Adjustment range: 20 - 90 °C.
Factory default setting: 90 °C.
Starting point of the heating curve (
Æ
fig. 6)
The symbol was selected using the “mode” key. This is the starting
point of the heating curve which equals an outdoor temperature of
+20 °C. The value is flashing and can be changed using the “+”and “–”
keys.
Adjustment range: 20 - 90 °C.
Factory default setting: 20 °C.
Summer/winter switch-over (
Æ
fig. 7)
The summer/winter switch-over temperature was selected using
the “mode” key. This is the highest outdoor temperature at which the
heating is in operation. The value is flashing and can be changed using
the “+”and “–” keys.
Adjustment range: 0 -30 °C.
Factory default setting: 16 °C.
Faults (
Æ
fig. 8)
The boiler is locked. In idle position, a flashing boiler display code is
shown instead of the outdoor temperature and the spanner is displayed
. The parameters can still be set by selecting the relevant parameter
with the “mode” key. However, in idle mode a display code continues to
show while there is still a fault in the system.
The installation instructions for your boiler indicate what the various
codes mean and which procedure is to be followed.
Fault code 5H
This is a communication fault. Check the connection to the boiler.
Sensor fault/emergency operation (
Æ
fig. 9)
If no outdoor temperature sensor is connected to the AM10, the AM10
has no value on which it can base its regulation operation and the
numeric field will show dashes instead of the outdoor temperature.
If there is a heat demand, (the display shows ), the AM10 will
request 50 °C, if this is permitted by the maximum temperature
setpoint. The value is limited to the maximum flow value set on the boiler
and to the end point of the heating curve.
2.5 Product datasheet on energy consumption (ErP)
The following product data complies with the requirements of
EU Regulations 811/2013, 812/2013, 813/2013 and 814/2013 as
supplement to the Directive 2010/30/EU.
