For regular inspection, the following items shall be taken into account:

• Check that the stiles/legs (uprights) are not bent, bowed, twisted, dented, cracked,

corroded or rotten;

Überprüfen, dass Stufen / Sprossen (aufrechtstehende Teile) nicht verbogen, gekrümmt,

verdreht, verbeult, gerissen, korrodiert oder verrottet sind;

Controleer of de stijlen / poten (staanders) niet gebogen, gebogen, gedraaid, gedeukt,

gebarsten, gecorrodeerd of verrot zijn;

Vérifiez que les montants / jambes (montants) ne sont pas pliés, courbés, tordus,

bosselés, fissurés, corrodés ou pourris;

• Check that the stiles/legs around the fixing points for other components are in good

condition;

Überprüfen, dass Holme/Beine um die Fixierpunkte für andere Teile in gutem Zustand

sind;

• Check that fixings (usually rivets, screws or bolts) are not missing, loose, or corroded;

Überprüfen, dass Befestigungen (Nieten, Schrauben, Bolzen) nicht fehlen und nicht lose

oder korrodiert sind;

Controleer of bevestigingen (meestal klinknagels, schroeven of bouten) niet ontbreken,

loszitten of gecorrodeerd zijn;

Vérifiez que les fixations (généralement les rivets, les vis ou les boulons) ne sont pas

manquantes, desserrées ou corrodées;

• Check that rungs/steps are not missing, loose, excessively worn, corroded or damaged;

Überprüfen, dass Stufen / Sprossen nicht fehlen und nicht lose, stark abgenutzt,

korrodiert oder beschädigt sind;

Controleer of sporten / treden niet ontbreken, loszitten, overdreven versleten,

gecorrodeerd of beschadigd zijn;

Vérifiez que les échelons / marches ne sont pas manquants, desserrés, excessivement

usés, corrodés ou endommagés;

• Check that the hinges between front and rear sections are not damaged, loose or

corroded;

Überprüfen, dass Gelenke zwischen Vorder- und Rückseite nicht beschädigt, lose oder

korrodiert sind;

Controleer of de scharnieren tussen de voor- en achterpanelen niet beschadigd, los of

gecorrodeerd zijn;

Vérifiez que les charnières entre les parties avant et arrière ne sont pas endommagées,

desserrées ou corrodées;

• Check that the locking stays horizontal, back rails and corner braces are not missing, bent,

loose, corroded or damaged;

Überprüfen, dass die Verriegelung in horizontaler Stellung bleibt, hintere Schienen und

Eckversteifungen nicht fehlen und nicht verbogen, lose, korrodiert oder beschädigt sind;

Controleer of de vergrendeling horizontaal blijft, de achterste rails en hoeksteunen niet

ontbreken, gebogen, losgeraakt, gecorrodeerd of beschadigd zijn;
