If you want to switch back the mr Safe station to tone-operated,
you have to follow this procedure:
• Press PROG.
• Press 3 and then 0.
• Again press PROG.
After pressing 0, you will see TON appear on the display.
If you have a switching system or ISDN adapter, you have to set
the same at ‘direct outward dialling system’. This way, it is not
necessary to dial an extra 0 prior to the telephone number.
CHECKING THE INSTALLATION
If the telephone line, adapter and batteries are properly placed,
the device is in standby, and the green ‘Power’ LED is burning.
If also the red ‘Batt. Lo’ LED is burning, the batteries are almost
empty or not properly placed. In this case, the batteries need to
be replaced. If you press one of the alarm keys of the mr
Safe station or remote control for at least 2 seconds, you will
hear the alarm tone from the mr Safe station. As soon as
this tone stops, the mr Safe station will contact the care
providers. To this effect, you need to set the telephone
numbers and alarm messages first. This is described in the
following chapters.
SETTING CALLS TO CARE PROVIDERS
(FAMILY, NEIGHBOURS, ETC.)
The mr Safe system has 2 different alarm buttons, a red one
and a blue one. These can be set distinctively, in various
ways: for example loud and quiet alarm, urgent and less
urgent alarm, or day and night alarm. It is possible to enter
a maximum of 4 telephone numbers per alarm button, eg.
of family, neighbours, acquaintances etc., the so-called
informal care.
The setting of these telephone numbers is realized as follows:
• Press PROG.
• Press the alarm button where you want to enter a
telephone number.
• Choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 for the first, second, third or fourth
alarm number.
• Enter the telephone number.
• Press PROG.
We advise you to write down the entered telephone numbers
in this manual. See last page of the manual. Apart from
that, it is possible to verify the set telephone numbers:
• Press PROG.
• Press the alarm button of which you would like to
verify the numbers.
• Press 1, 2, 3 or 4 for the first, second, third or
fourth alarm number.
• Now the set number is displayed. Press STOP to exit.
