- Plug the appliance in; the display screen will
flash.

- Turn the button to position
- Press button H (M) to set the hour
- Press button min (N) to set the minutes
. Using in manual mode
- Turn the button to ON (G) position
- The indicator light (O) will come on
- To stop, turn button to OFF (G) position
. Using in programme mode
To set the time at which you would like your
coffee:
- Turn the button to PROG position:
the symbol will flash on the display
- Press button H (M) to set the hour
- Press button min (N) to set the minutes
- Turn the button to AUTO position:
the symbol remains fixed: the appliance
is now programmed.
At the chosen time, the indicator light (O) will
come on and the coffee-machine will start
automatically.
Attention: If the button stays in AUTO posi-
tion, the appliance will start again at the same
time every day.
. Automatic stop and ‘keep warm’ pro-
gramme.
When switched on, the automatic stop is
programmed for 1 hour.
You can prolong the keep warm function for
between 1 and 5 hours, in one-hour steps.
Programming takes place in OFF position in
the following way:
- keep min button (N) depressed at the same
time press H button (M) to select number of
hours to keep warm. Each press of the button
(M) increases ‘keep warm’ time by one hour.
Maintenance
. Changing the ‘Duo Filter
- Change the filter when indicator light (F)
goes red.
This indicator light will remain red for 5 uses to
let you know it is time to change the filter. It will
then go white once more, even if the filter has
not been changed.
For the programmable model, the indicator
light (F) will flash. Stop this by using a pointed
utensil to press the button (P)
- To change the filter, pivot the lower part of
the filter-holder (A), remove the ‘Duo Filter
from its housing and replace it after rinsing.
Important
- The ‘Duo Filter should only be used with
drinking water.
- The ‘Duo Filter’ is only suitable for Crystal
Aroma Plus coffee-machines.
- The absence of a filter will not prevent use
of the appliance.
- If you foresee not using the appliance for a
period of time (holidays etc.) it is
recommended that you rinse the ‘Duo Filter
with running water and clean the coffee-ma-
chine carefully.
- It is recommended not to leave the filter in
place for more than 3 months
. Descaling
The ‘Duo Filter’, with its anti-scale action,
means that you only need to descale the
appliance every after every 160 uses ( around
4 months) for fairly hard water, and every 80
uses (around 2 months) for very hard water.
- Before descaling, remove the filter holder
(A).
You can use:
. a sachet of anti-scale solution, diluted in 2
large cups of water
. 2 large cups of white alcohol vinegar
- Pour the mixture into the water tank (C) and
start the coffee-machine (without coffee-
grounds)
- Let the equivalent of a cupful flow into the
coffee-pot.
- Leave the mixture in the coffee-machine for
an hour to take effect
- Start the machine again to allow the flow to
finish.
- Rinse the coffee-machine through, by using
2 or 3 times with clear water (full tank)
Attention : Do not leave anti-scale solution
within reach of children.
Cleaning
- Unplug the machine
- Never immerse the machine in water or
under running water
- To remove used coffee grounds, remove the
filter holder (D) from the machine
- The coffee pot (I) and the removable filter-
holder (D) can be cleaned in the dishwasher
