Weißbrot
Zubereitungszeit 80–95 Minuten
Zutaten
1/2 Würfel Hefe (21 g)
250 ml Wasser, lauwarm
500 g Mehl
1 1/2 TL Salz
1 1/2 TL Zucker
20 g Butter, weich
Zum Bestreichen
Milch
Zubereitung
Hefe unter Rühren in lauwarmem Was-
ser auflösen. Mit Mehl, Salz, Zucker
und Butter 4–5 Minuten zu einem glat-
ten Teig verkneten.
Den Teig zu einer Kugel formen. Im
Backofen zugedeckt bei 35 °C Ober-/
Unterhitze 30 Minuten gehen lassen.
Teig leicht durchkneten, zu einem ca.
25 cm langen Brotlaib formen und auf
ein Backblech legen. Das Brot an der
Oberseite mehrmals 1 cm tief schräg
einschneiden. Im Backofen zugedeckt
bei 35 °C Ober-/Unterhitze weitere
15–20 Minuten gehen lassen.
Die Oberseite mit Wasser bestreichen
und das Brot goldbraun backen.
