9.2 Reset

Malfunctioninginthelogicofthedevice(conictingsymbolsonthe

display,functionsdonotwork,etc.)isanunlikelyeventwhichcouldbe

causedbyanexternaltemporaryreasons.Forexample,anomalies

in the current supply during recharging of the batteries can set the

transceivertooperateinthewrongmanner.Inthiscase,youcan

reset the transceiver to factory settings. This procedure cancels all

personalisedoptionsyouhavepreviouslyset:

1) Turnoffthetransceiver.

2) Keepboth

+ and – pressed and switch on the radio. All symbols

on the display light up for about two seconds and an audio tone

conrmsresettinghastakenplace.

3) Release

+ and – buttons. The device will now have all the original

settings,forexamplethetransceiverautomaticallyselectsnumber

1channel,ituseshigherpoweroftransmission,etc.

2 Before carrying out reset, make note of all customised options

previously carried out, as these will be cancelled.
