objects! Always keep enough distance to heat or
steam sensitive surfaces, walls, furniture, curtain.
Caution! Hot oil and fat can burn easily! Keep special
care when using oil and fat as oil and fat preparations
might catch fire easily if they get overheated. Ensure
that the room is ventilated well during use. Ensure
that the cord never comes into contact with hot parts
nearby (like grillplate, heating element etc.) to avoid
damage and fire danger.
USING THE GRILL PLATE
Before each use grease the grill plate and raclette pans slightly.
Plug in to a socket nearby. First turn the switch to MAX temperature position and heat up for
approx. 15-30 minutes. The grill starts heating up and the control lamp is illuminated.
The pilot light will switch-on and off in intervalls, indicating heating and cooling.
Place the food to be grilled directly onto the grill plate. Do not put foils or other objects.
Grill the food according to your own taste. Grilling time depends on the adjusted temperature,
the kind of food, the amount and consistence of the food.
The reflector plate under the heating element can optimise the performance of the raclette grill.
You can place the raclette pans there.
Caution! The reflector plate also gets hot!
Unplug, switch off and allow to cool down completely after each use.
USING THE RACLETTE PANS
You can grill in the raclette pans, cook fruit, fry eggs or potatoes and other foodstuffs.
Raclette is a typical Swiss dish. You can obtain a good raclette by using original raclette cheese.
Take about 150 grams for each person. Cut the cheese into slices (ca. 2 mm thick). Prepare
potatoes. Put the raclette grill in the middle of the table. Put the cheese into the raclette pans
and place them under the heating tube. The cheese will be melted after 3 or 4 minutes. As soon
as the cheese is melted and has a brownish-golden colour, you can serve it or spread it on
potatoes. Add some fresh ground black pepper. Serve with raw ham, onions and pickles, etc.
Note: The Raclette pans are non-stick coated. Only use wooden spatulas to remove food from
the pans. Never use metallic objects with the pans and the grill plate.
Place the raclette pans for keeping warm onto the reflector plate under the heating element.
Caution! Grill plate, housing, reflector plate and pans
get very hot during usage!
Touch the cool touch handles only and always use oven cloth.
After use always switch into OFF position, unplug and let the appliance cool down.
