For initial use heat the appliance for some minutes at maximum temperature to
eliminate oil or grease residues from production. Repeat it 1-2 times, then smoke
and smell will disappear (it is harmless and no sign of danger).
Let the unit heat up until the steam will disappear (minimum term of 3 minutes).
Switch off after this process and unplug.
Let the unit cool down.
Wipe the plates with a slightly damp cloth to remove residues.
Using your cooking plate
Caution! Hot surface! When operating electrical heating-appliances (such as
hot plates, hot pans or hot fat) please keep in mind that high temperatures are
achieved which may cause serious injuries.
Caution! Danger of burning! Appliance gets hot during operation. Never touch
hot cooking plates, lid or housing!
Caution! Fire danger! Always keep enough distance to the walls, furniture curtain
or towels. The appliance must not be placed next to easily inflammable objects.
Never let the appliance unattended while in operation! Food might boil over or scorch.
Keep special care when using oil and fat. Hot oil and fat can burn easily!
Ensure that the thermostat switch is in “MIN” Position (OFF).
Place the unit on a stable, dry non-slip and heat resistant surface.
Unroll the cord completely.
Ensure to have enough aeration in the room by opening the window.
Only use pans and pots that have suitable diameter (approx. 16 cm) and are
designed to use with electrically heated hot-plates. The should have a solid base and
be even as possible. Do not use pots or pans with smaller diameter than the diameter
of hotplate. Utensils with convex, concave or uneven bottom should not be used.
Put your pot or pan filled with food onto the suitable plate.
Connect the appliance to the current. Turn the temperature switch clockwise to
desired position. The control lamp is illuminated and will switch off when the
desired temperature has reached.
Select adjustable cooking category:
MIN = off
1 = low temperature
2 = slow cooking
3 = for simmering large quantities
4 = shallow frying of meat and pan dishes
5 = to bring all dishes to rapid heat
MAX = maximum heat, fast cooking
While cooking the control light might switch on and off, indicating the function of the
thermostat. This is normal. Even though the control light might switch off, the
temperature will still rise up to the pre-set level.
While in use the thermostat and heater may cause sound. This is caused by physical
movement of the parts due to the heat. It is not a sign of danger but rather normal.
The duration of the cooking process depends on product, size and weight of food.
Caution! Always switch into "MIN" position (OFF) and unplug after each use.
