INSTALLATION
UNIT REMOVAL
1. Remove Front Control Panel and Frame.
2. Slightly insert the key into the slot and gently to
release.
3. Separate the mounting case from the unit. Keep
removal keys in a safe place as you may need for
future removal of unit.

OVER THE MAXIMUM INSTALLATION

FILE SEARCH
l Press “AMS” button for more than 2 seconds, then press once and “FILE SCH” will be shown
on the display.
l Press “VOL/SEL” button to enter file search mode.
l Rotate “VOL/SEL” button clockwise or anti-clockwise to view the directories.
l After the selected directory is selected, rotate “VOL/SEL” button clockwise or anti-clockwise to
view the files.
l Press “VOL/SEL” button to play the selected file.
l If directories or files name is not entered within 10 seconds, the unit will continue playing the
current file.
CHARACTER SEARCH
l Press “AMS” button for more than 2 seconds, then press twice and “CHAR SCH” will be
shown on the display.
l Press “VOL/SEL” button to enter into character search mode and “ * ” will appear on the
display for you to enter first character.
l Enter whole name of files (maximum 8 characters) by rotating “VOL/SEL” button clockwise or
anti-clockwise to shift “A-Z”, “0-9” & “*” (space) in loop rotation.
l Press “VOL/SEL” button shortly to select the first character.
l Repeat the same procedure to enter the other characters if required.
l After the whole name of file is entered, press “VOL/SEL” button more than 2 seconds to start
playing the selected track.
Remark :
1) The media must contain directories or files name written by the CD / USB flash memory /
SD card writer in order to use in searching.
2) If only partial letters are entered for searching either in directories or files name, you may
not get it correctly.
IMPORTANT NOTES
l The MP3 file recording media acceptable to this unit are CD-R/RW, USB flash memory, SD card.
l The MP3 formats acceptable are limited.
l Do not attempt to play a media containing non-MP3 files. Otherwise, the radio may not work
properly.
MP3 OPERATION
13. VOLUME/SELECTION (“VOL/SEL”)
a)Rotate this button clockwise to increase volume level and vice versa.
b)Press this button shortly to show Volume/Bass/Treble/Balance/Fader control. Then, rotate clockwise to
increase setting level and vice versa.
c)Press this button more than 2 seconds, it activates the selection mode in cyclical position by clockwise
for increase and vice versa.
Remark : “MULT OFF/ MULT ON” and “BEEP ON/ BEEP OFF” are not available for this model.
14/15. MANUAL UP/DOWN TUNING / TRACK SEEK UP/DOWN
On radio mode, pressing this button more than 2 seconds, it will tune one frequency step higher or lower. On
CD/USB/SD mode, pressing this button shortly will move to the one track higher or lower. Pressing more than
2 seconds, it will move fast forward or backward to a specific position.
TRACK SEARCH
l Press “AMS” button for more than 2 seconds and “TRK SCH” will be shown on the display.
l Press “VOL/SEL” button to enter track search mode and “TRK 0” will appear on the display for
you to enter track number.
l Rotate “VOL/SEL” button clockwise or anti-clockwise to shift number 0 - 9 in loop rotation.
l Press “VOL/SEL” button shortly to select the first digit.
l Repeat the same procedure to enter the other digits if required.
l After the track number is selected, press “VOL/SEL” button more than 2 seconds to start
playing the selected track.
l If track number is not entered within 10 seconds, the unit will continue playing the current file.
18. AUXILIARY INPUT
Press MODE button (9) until the “AUX” mode is shown on display. The unit is ready to play files from the
external audio device through the auxiliary input directly on the front panel.
19. SD CARD SLOT
Press MODE button (9) until the “MEM-CARD” mode is shown on display. The unit is ready to play files
from the SD card.
20. USB HOST
Press MODE button (9) until the “USB-DRIV” mode is shown on display. The unit is ready to play files
from the USB device.
Note: the unit can only support FAT32 HDD format; cannot support FAT & NTFS formats.
17. RESET
The reset button is located on the front of main panel. This reset circuitry is provided to protect the unit's
microprocessor. It should only be activated under the below conditions. Whenever the reset button is
activated, all preset memories content will be erased.
a) Initial installation after all wiring is completed.
b) Abnormal operation.
On CD / USB / SD Mode
lPreset 1 - press this button to pause the track.
lPreset 2 - press this button to scan the first 10 seconds of all the tracks.
lPreset 3 - press this button to repeat the track.
lPreset 4 - press this button to play the tracks in random order.
lPreset 5 - press this button to search -10 tracks (For USB/SD mode only).
lPreset 6 - press this button to search +10 tracks (For USB/SD mode only).
16. STATION PRESET BUTTON (1-6)
The PRESET BUTTONS on the unit are used to store station frequencies which you may wish to recall. Each
preset button can store FM1, FM2, FM3, MW1, MW2 band station frequency. Pressing the button momentarily
recalls the station frequency which was memorized. There are 6 preset buttons, giving you capability of storing
18FM / 12MW.
NOTE: When the preset button to be memorized is kept pressed for more than 2 seconds, the receiving station
frequency will be stored in the button pressed. After this, the memorized station can be recalled by pressing the
button once.
The radio will stop on station transmitting the selected PTY code. During program type is searching, it can
stop searching and the radio will back to the original station. “PTY NONE” will appear if selected PTY code
is not receivable.
