6. 4 Way Nav Pad - Usedto move and select through options within
thePODHDProXDisplay.Pressthepadleft,right,up,anddown
tohighlightitemsintheDisplay. This pad is also used to navigate
throughmultiplepages.
7. Move Button - Pressthis to perform variousmovefunctions.From
theSignal Flow Viewyoucanusethe4 Way Navtohighlightitems
inthesignalchain.Pressingthe

buttontoturn Amp orFX Blocks onor off. Double-press

parameters associated with the highlighted Block. Hold
ENTER to
bringfocustoFoot Switch Assign mode.

9. Multi-Function Knobs – These four knobs provide controls for
various functionality depending on the display’s current focus.
Generally speaking, the knobs will control parameters displayed in
thelowerquarterofthemaindisplayasfollows:Knob 1controlsthe
upperleftparameter,Knob 2controlsthelowerleftparameter,Knob 3
controlstheupperrightparameter,andKnob 4controlsthelowerright
parameter.PleaserefertotheAdvancedUserGuideformoredetail.
10. Drive - DRIVE is like thegain knob on most amps;controllinghow
much“dirt”ordistortionyougetinthesound.PODHDProXcanrun
uptotwoampsatoncesomakesureyouselecttheampyouwantto
beadjustingwiththeampcontrol(viatheCTL:Ampparameter)before
turningthe
DRIVEknob.
11. Tone Controls -
BASS, MID, TREBLE and PRESENCEcontrolsare
customized for each Amp Model to provide optimal tonal control.
When you turn any of theseknobs, the display willbriey show the
currentsettings of the
DRIVE, BASS, MID, TREBLE and PRESENCE
knobs.Remember,whenrunningtwoampstobesuretoselectthe
ampyouwanttoadjustbeforeturningtheseknobs.
12. Volume Knob - This adjusts the outputlevel of your selected Amp
Modelwithoutaffectingitstoneordistortioncharacteristics.
13. Master Volume Knob - ThiscontrolstheoveralloutputlevelofPOD
HD Pro X, including the headphone level. Changing the
MASTER
VOLUMEleveldoesnotchangeyourtone,soyoucangetthetoneyou
wantatanyvolumelevel.Thissettingisglobalandisnotsavedwhen
youstoresettingsintothePODHDProXmemorylocations.
Note: If your external gear has mic/line levelinputs, set thetrim for
thoseinputstotheminimumlevelandslowlybringthePODHDProX
MASTER VOLUMEtomaximum-thensetthelevelofyourexternal
geartotaste.Thisapproachwillhelpgetthebestsignal-to-noiseratio.
ThereisalsoaswitchwhichallowsyoutosetthelineoutputstoAMP
(instrument)orLINE LEVEL.
It is recommended that you start with the MASTER VOLUME
controlsettominimumandslowlyturnthecontrolclockwisetowards
maximumbeforeanyaudioclipping(thebadkindofdistortion)occurs.
